Rydges Darling Square Apartment Hotel

Great location and decent-sized hotel. Our room had a small balcony. However, the front desk service was quite mediocre, and they charged for early check-in. The soundproofing wasn't great either; you could clearly hear people talking in the hallway.

The hotel apartment is in a super convenient location, right in the CBD. There are shopping malls, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby, and plenty of dining options even at 8 PM. It's also not far from Chinatown and Darling Harbour.

The room overall was decent. As an apartment-style hotel, the facilities were quite complete, but it did feel a bit dated.

The dark-skinned front desk staff member had a terrible attitude.

The location is super convenient. It's a 10-minute walk to Chinatown, and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Driving to the airport only takes about 25-30 minutes. The room has enough space, and the hygiene is acceptable.

[Location & First Impression] Just two blocks from George Street, the main thoroughfare, so the location is truly excellent. As it's a hotel with cooking facilities, there was no typical hotel air freshener scent in the lobby or room, which was a plus. Early check-in was available for a fee, but I decided not to proceed with it. [Room Condition & Heating] The room does have a balcony, but it faces the building opposite, so there's no privacy. It was a shame having to keep the curtains closed even during the day. The air conditioning/heater was set to a maximum of 24 degrees Celsius and couldn't be adjusted higher. While this might be fine for Westerners, Koreans might find it a bit chilly, so please keep that in mind! [Payment & Deposit Notes] I put down a deposit with my credit card at check-in, and on the day of check-out, a $4 charge appeared. I'm now waiting for the authorization to be cancelled. [Amenities & Supplies] Bathroom: The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were of excellent quality, which I was very satisfied with. A shower cap and hairdryer were also provided. No slippers, no complimentary bottled water, no bathtub.
