Our high expectations were exceeded by the idiosyncratic sophistication of the place, the quirky hospitality of the hosts and the refined scrumptiousness of the meals (do take up the offer of home cooking). Owner Tanya is a jewel, and so is the Mani.

Hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly and take really care of their guests. Just an example: when they took note that I loved the pears I got one day for breakfast, they not only got in touch with the dealer who sells the pears from time to time on the market, but also gave me some pears for my trip back. And of course they had a lot of excellent advice on the best beaches, restaurants, etc.

An impressive hotel inside some old restructured towers in the heart of Mani peninsula. We tried to book online for 3 nights, but there was limited availability, so we decided to call and finally we found our room. When we arrived we were greeted by Zaira, who was our nice host and provided us with a free upgrade to a larger room with veranda. The location was very nice and cozy, with a beautiful garden and the family owners made us feel like at home, helping in any possible way. As this was an old settlement, there are some small stone roads and steps to reach you room. There is also a small restaurant, with a nice wine cellar, that we tested every evening. Plates were excellent with great quality food. Thanks to Zaira and her family for one of our best stays in Peloponnese.

What an amazing place! The owners are the best hosts, the hotel rooms have been superbly decorated sand the food is excellent. A home away from home. Our host gave us a map, highlighting the best beaches and sightseeing. The hotel is super quiet, so after a blissful sleep you can look forward to the best breakfast ever.

A true boutique hotel that pays attention to every last detail. We were made to feel so welcome at this family run hotel. They cater for all needs and nothing was too much trouble. The food is fine dining sourced locally with many homemade elements such as bread, ice cream and cake. Beautiful surroundings in a traditional Maniot tower - very relaxing. Highly recommended.

We stayed here before Covid and loved the place. Decided to visit again hoping that the standards had remained as good and they certainly have. It remains so calm and peaceful that you can not fail to relax. The food, both breakfast and evening meals, are first class and we opted for the half board which is great value for money. The family take the role of hosts very seriously which means that they are warm and friendly but, at the same time, always professional and attentive. Everywhere you look there is fabulous attention to detail to make ones stay memorable. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

We had an excellent stay here with our family. The breakfast is really nice as is the dinner - both served on the very nice terrace. Excellent base to discover Mani. The family is also very caring for their guests and gives great tips.

We had a wonderful four nights at Citta Dei Nicliani. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming. The hotel and our cool room was an oasis to come back to after long days exploring the surrounding towns and coastline. Breakfast was delicious - lots of tasty local delicacies. The dinner served in the evening was a real highlight and was served with great wine list. It was also a chance to chat to the owners a bit - it's a family run place - and they were all so lovely. They were very helpful with suggestions of what to see in the local area. My partner and I are discussing coming back to the Mani because we enjoyed the escape so much. It's places like this that were a big part of why we had such a great holiday. We'd definitely come back here again. Review by: Max and Emily.

We spent one week at the Tower house and we enjoyed every minute. We found wine and homemade jams upon our arrival. There was also body cream, hand cream, linen fragrance and face water. We experienced the true Mani. The village is authentic and we loved all the recommendations from Zaira. We relaxed and enjoyed the pool. We visited Monemvasia and Kardamyli. There is a traditional Greek tavern, one minute walking distance from the house. The food was really good. Thank you for the amazing stay, we can’t wait to come back again
