Tacloban Plaza Hotel

A bit high priced for service and location. Quaint decor, no elevator. Housekeeping staff need better training, dirty mirror, no shampoo in the dispenser. Front desk and door service great. Only place to eat is chicken restaurant opposite, or restaurant in hotel that looks dead. Buffet breakfast included... Only OK.

To była prosta opinia po angielsku, mniej więcej taka: Review: This hotel was a very bad experience. The room smells strongly of moisture. The bathroom has mold in the grout and looks very dirty. There is dust on and behind the TV. The windows are dirty and there is trash around them. The upper shelves in the wardrobe are also dirty. The floors are not clean. The air conditioner is extremely loud and sounds like a jet engine, so it is very difficult to sleep. At night there are strange noises and we don’t know where they come from. The price is completely not adequate to the conditions. I really don’t understand how this hotel has such good reviews. We have stayed in many hotels in the Philippines and we know that standards here can be different than in Europe, but this was really too much. Spending a night here was a terrible experience.

It's located in downtown, staffs good, normal rooms, breakfast is normal

We had to ask the front desk staff to transfer us to another room because the aircon unit wasn’t working. There’s a water dispenser at the 3rd floor. Breakfast is buffet; not much selection but it’s okay to get you by. No elevator as well. Location is great. 24 hours open Andok’s and supermarkets are near. ATM machines are everywhere. Must visit restaurants: Ocho; Prakaz bbq; Fahrenheit food Center. The hotel restaurant is a good place to dine too. Huge servings and tasty. Very friendly staff also. Full of cute and antique stuff in this hotel which are definitely collectors items; very interesting. Tip: if you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room not on the street side as the vehicles tend to be very noisy since the rooms are just until the 4th floor.

the bad thing we stayed for 3 nights,we had the Matrimonial room,the worst hotel room we ever stayed, no window,no refrigerator the room have smell like sewage,and its feels like we are in isolated room, we have to open the door day and night because of the smell,we told the receptionest when we left hoping they.ve done something about it,so no one else can experience,what we had experienced, the room has no lift so i suggest don't bring lots of luggage. the good thing, location is great,just walking distance to almost everything, service with the smile, free breakfast, we wont be coming back though.

I love the place neat and cozy. I hope to stay in this venue again soon .. The staff is friendly and the Breakfast they serve is to my liking . God bless and more vacay soon to stay in your place ..

Room very tidy and toilet and shower im very happy because most hotel i stay in Philippines in not happy with the bathroom set up
