Maritim Properties in Taicang

Taicang, known as Shanghai's backyard, is just a short drive away. This New Year's Day, I chose the Taicang Maritim Garden Hotel as my accommodation. Overall, the hotel's decor is indeed dated; the bathroom facilities are somewhat outdated, the toilet is icy cold in winter, the bathtub is small and old, the floor drain has a problem, and the shower only has a fixed ceiling showerhead, which isn't ideal for those who don't want to wash their hair. Couldn't they provide a handheld showerhead? The overall impression is that the hotel has relatively few staff. There was no concierge to direct parking, no hostess in the breakfast restaurant, and the replenishment and clearing of dishes during peak hours seemed rushed. The overall service level of the hotel staff needs improvement; many had blank expressions, and there was a lack of initiative and smiling service.
