It's a school that is close to everything. It's great from the first step into the room. The staff are kind. Come early and be able to leave your luggage. When you return, the staff has already carried everything up to the room. Got a room with a city view. Saw a red light intersection. Saw Miyahara's ice cream shop. Seriously, just in the room. Then I sat and looked out of the window. It's very good. There are a lot of plugs in the room. Stayed 2 nights, the hotel cleaned very well, convenient transportation, inexpensive price, will definitely come again.

Although the exterior of the building looks a bit older, but when you enter it, the environment is really good, simple and clean, so it is most comfortable to live! There are friends who want to visit the Chinese Night Market or Yizhong Street, recommend this one, very good! Booked a deluxe room with bath tub on 3Apr23. Absolutely satisfied with their customer service, no idea why the star rating is only 3.5. I was kinda skeptical at first, to my surprised the room was spacious and clean, staff even went the extra mile to help a clueless tourist like me. Highly recommended. I will definitely come back.

Overall, it is also quite close to Taichung Station and Miyahara Ophthalmology. However, if you live in a room for 10 people, it is a lot more people, and the bed is not curtained. If you pay great attention to privacy or need some security, it is not suitable. In addition, the public areas are good and still very lively.

The hotel is right next to Taichung train station and Tarako mall which both have food court with many food options. There are buses around the station can take you anywhere around Taichung including Sun Moon lake. The buffet breakfast was good with mainly Chinese/********* food options. We stayed in a family room which was just big enough and had space to be able to open our suitcases. The staff were very polite.

I was allocated upper bunk beside Aircon. The air ventilation in the bunk is poor. It is stuffy and hot because accommodate many people inside the dorm. It was difficult to climb to upper bunk. There was smell inside toilet. One of the hair blower is not working.

Would like to highlight an issue we encountered with regards to our deposit and certain charges that were made to us but which we had not incurred. When we were checking out, we asked to have a look at our statement of charges as we understood that any additional charges would be offset by the deposit placed with the hotel. We had dinner at ”The Prime -Grill and Lounge” on one of the nights and just wanted to check if the charges were right. The statement showed 3 separate bills that were not incurred by us and were all purchases of alcohol, which we found strange. When we brought this up with the front desk, the staff did not seem surprised at all with the error or sought to verify the same anywhere nor were we given any apology for the mistake. It was as though she already knew that those 3 charges were unanauthorised transactions and said that the hotel would rectify the issue with the bank in respect of our deposit. The front desk was also very adamant to not let us speak to her manager about the issue. We just wanted to highlight the above because we would usually just trust the hotel to refund the right amount of deposit without checking, especially when using credit card to pay the same. But it may be worth checking when it comes to this hotel as based on the reaction which we got from the front desk, it seems that such mistakes whether intentional or not have happened before. We also hope that the hotel would do some sort of investigation into how issues like this could happen.
