Kiwi Express Hotel (Taichung Station Branch II)

My partner and I stayed in the Japanese-style double room at the Taichung Station Front Branch 2 (actual photos shown below, reference image.png), and we were thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. The room featured a Japanese Zen design, with tatami flooring complementing a comfortable double bed, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The location is excellent, just a few minutes from the station. The room was clean, well-equipped, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We gave full marks for all aspects and highly recommend it for couples or travelers seeking a peaceful stay.

The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the train station. The facilities are a bit dated, but it didn't affect my stay at all. It would be even better if the lockers were chip-activated instead of keys. I checked in early (and planned to go to my room later), and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful, guiding me through the self check-in machine. Great service overall!

The transportation is convenient, and there's a great night market nearby with delicious food.

There's a common room upstairs where you can eat. They also offer a simple breakfast in the morning with coffee, juice, toast, and dinner rolls. The breakfast was really good, especially the dinner rolls. When toasted, the butter would ooze out – absolutely delicious! The famous Miyahara Eye Clinic is just a short walk away. Next time, if I need to, I'll ask them to help me get a lower bunk.
