Great location, just a 10-minute walk from Tainan train station. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and a YouBike station too. The guesthouse is tucked away in an alley, so it's really quiet and peaceful. The ground floor has a restaurant-like layout, with tableware and water available – perfect for chatting or eating takeout. The terrazzo staircase is beautiful, and the room gets great natural light. The floor was so clean I felt comfortable walking around barefoot. P.S. The host was super nice! She knew I wasn't ********* and even let me try some ********* mangoes 🫶

The room was lovely and quiet at night. Although there isn't a water dispenser, there was a kettle in the room and water available in the common area, which was nice. The WiFi in the room wasn't working from check-in, but I contacted the staff and it was fixed the next day. I appreciate their prompt response. It's within walking distance of Tainan Station, the shower in the room had hot water and good pressure, so I'd definitely like to stay here again when I visit Tainan.

The environment definitely has a retro vibe; it's been ages since I last saw cement floors with clear varnish. However, the bed is huge. The buildings are very close together, so I had to keep the curtains drawn the whole time. I only realized there was no elevator the day before check-in – honestly, I never even considered that a hotel wouldn't have one. But the butler helped carry my heavy luggage upstairs, which I really appreciated. The stairs are quite narrow and slippery. When I was leaving, I slipped carrying my own suitcase down, luckily it was only one step from the bottom.

The hostel was fairly easy to locate, the building number was marked clearly and it's Google Maps location was spot-on. The host Jenny, was attentive and helpful during my stay, and very accommodating especially since I arrived a few hours prior to the official check-in time. Thanks to her kindness, I was able to leave my bags and begin exploring Tainan City immediately. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the room, but it was much bigger than I expected, and everything was kept neat and clean. I had no issues with the bathroom facilities as well, the water was hot and had decent pressure, which was extremely relieving after a long day of walking around the city. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, if I was to visit Tainan, it's proximity to Tainan station was handy as I had flown in from Kaohsiung and had to return early in the morning.

Safe, accessible and clean room.

The room that I stayed was pretty nice. A bed is a queen size bed, and can fit two girls in the same bed. The bathroom also nice looks clean and big. It was like 15 minutes walk from the train station. However, the stair to go up to the third floor is pretty steep so it might not be convenient for the big suitcase.

Cute and cozy place and the owner was very helpful and friendly. Value over price👍🏼

It’s hard to find, but the location is not too bad. The room is cleanish, comfortable, and affordable. The only downside was the noise.

I think I saw some reviews saying the location was close to the station, so I chose this inn, but it was quite a walk from the station. 😅 I used Google Maps, but as I moved away from the station, the roads became darker and the streets became steeper, which made me a little uneasy. Finally, I was walking down a narrow, dark alley. I finally arrived using the photo of the entrance that the inn had sent me beforehand and Google Maps. At first, I thought, "Is this really the entrance?", but it was. The entrance was locked, but I was able to enter using the password that had been sent to me beforehand. 😆 The room key was also in a box, as shown in the photo that had been sent to me beforehand, so that was fine too. It seems like the system is designed to run smoothly even without staff present. It was around 10 PM, and there was no one from the inn, so I had to carry my luggage up to the second floor myself. 😨 The room was neither particularly good nor bad. There was a fan. The room was quiet and I slept well. The room key was retro in a good way, like in the picture. Of course, it wasn't an automatic lock.😅 There was no one there when I checked out, so I just put the key back in the box and left. Having no one there when you enter or leave is probably efficient and good for keeping costs down, but personally, I felt a little lonely.😢 Also, there didn't seem to be any shops around, so I think it's best to buy any drinks or other necessities at a 7-Eleven near the station. (I think there was complimentary water.) If you're looking for a cheap place to sleep for business or something, it's probably fine.
