Reviews of Tainan Wei-Yat Grand Hotel

This was my first stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious; we booked a triple room but were upgraded directly to a quad room. There were complimentary welcome snacks, which was a thoughtful touch. Parking was abundant, and the gym was excellent and worth experiencing. The breakfast was especially delicious, featuring boiled beef and many Tainan local snacks. However, some of the service staff had less-than-ideal attitudes, which was the only minor drawback. Overall, it's a highly recommended hotel.

The hotel breakfast served with cockroaches! We went @0830, most of the things was empty!

Taiwan Wei-Yat hotel was clean, the service was good, that amenities were good, and it was centrally located.

I had a great stay at Tainan Wei-Yat Grand Hotel. The location is very convenient, close to the river and many tourist spots. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a nice, calm atmosphere, and everything was well taken care of. The only thing that could be better is the breakfast—it wasn’t very impressive. But overall, it’s a great place to stay in Tainan, and I would definitely come back.

I recently stayed at the Tainan Wei-Yat Grand Hotel and found it to be incredibly clean, with well-maintained rooms and excellent amenities that made my stay comfortable. However, the location is a bit inconvenient. The nearest bus stop is an 8-minute walk away, with a limited timetable, making it challenging if you're coming from Tainan Station. Additionally, while the breakfast offered a variety of options, I found the food selection less delicious than advertised. I think their check in and check out time is very short. They start to check in at 3 pm and check out before 10 am. Overall, it's a great hotel if you're prepared for a bit of a commute and don't mind a simple breakfast.

Nice clean place with great service

During my stay, I was extremely satisfied with the hotel's location, surroundings, and in-house services. Overall, I had a pleasant time. First and foremost, the hotel's excellent location is noteworthy. A river flows right next to the building, and the pleasant breeze blowing across the water in the mornings and evenings allowed me to feel the presence of nature even while in the city. Simply strolling along the river gave me the sense of freedom that only a travel destination can offer, and it was a refreshing way to start my day. The hotel's bicycle rental service was another particularly memorable feature of my stay. It allowed me to easily visit places a little further from the city center, significantly expanding my range of activities. During my stay, I cycled to nearby tourist attractions, cafes, and quiet residential areas, experiencing the everyday atmosphere of the area. Being able to easily visit places that were a little farther away on foot and explore the city at my own pace was extremely pleasant and enhanced the enjoyment of my trip. The breakfast also far exceeded my expectations. The buffet offered a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, and each one was carefully prepared. There was a wide variety of fresh vegetables, hot dishes, bread, and desserts, so there was enough variety to keep you from getting bored even if you stayed for several nights. The dishes made with local ingredients were particularly delicious, allowing you to experience the unique flavors of the region and feel a little luxurious from the morning. As mentioned above, the hotel's location, the convenience of bicycle rentals, and the high-quality breakfast all combined to make this stay extremely satisfying. I feel that this is an inn that I can confidently recommend not only to tourists, but also to those who want to spend some relaxing time. I would definitely like to visit again if I have the opportunity.

Convenient parking. Although the hotel is old, it is clean. Breakfast is good. The bathroom has a bidet. The only drawback is that the service staff is not enthusiastic and does not have the demeanor of a four-star hotel

The overall atmosphere of the hotel is relatively retro, which is acceptable to me. The beef soup for breakfast is excellent. The surrounding environment beside the canal is very comfortable. It is convenient to meet friends for dinner near the hotel.

It's nice to walk around the canal and relax. Breakfast is mediocre except for beef soup. It's a decent old-fashioned hotel.

The stay was comfortable, the room was large, the hotel was tall and grand, very exotic in Nanyang style, the breakfast was rich, there was self-service beef soup, the counter staff was very friendly, there was also a motorcycle parking space, everything was great~
