Ximen Relite Hotel

Although the hotel is a bit older, it's still comfortable and kept very clean. It's super convenient for getting to Ximending or taking the MRT. I've already recommended it to my friends who are visiting Taipei next month!

Service: The front desk service was terrible. I asked for two bottles of mineral water and they wouldn't give them to me. I had to go downstairs to get them myself. Hygiene: The room wasn't cleaned one day, even after I notified the front desk. Environment: The room and other spaces were relatively large and comfortable.

This was my first time staying in this area. It was very convenient, as I could walk to Ximen and the area south of Taipei Main Station, and Longshan Temple and the 24-hour Carrefour were also easily accessible. Initially, the room I was assigned had a cracked toilet that was leaking, so I immediately reported it to the reception, and they kindly changed my room. The air conditioning in the first room couldn't be adjusted, but the new room had individual AC control, which turned out to be a good thing. However, the walls are very thin; you can clearly hear conversations from the next room, and you might even wake up to your neighbor's alarm clock. It's probably not suitable for light sleepers. Despite facing a main road, I wasn't bothered by noise from the street. If you're in a north-facing room, you get a city view; south-facing rooms have a wall view. You can't flush toilet paper, and while there's a bathtub, the shower pressure is a bit weak. This time, I stayed alone in a twin room, so I had plenty of space, but it would likely feel a bit cramped for two people. Considering everything, for this price and location, I have no complaints.

The clean bed and room were great, but the bathroom cleaning was a bit lacking. It was a shame that I had to keep the curtains closed because the room was completely visible from the building next door. However, breakfast on the open rooftop was lovely!

This hotel was incredibly convenient for getting around, being so close to Taipei Main Station. As soon as I arrived, I was struck by how neat and clean it was. The room was also very well-maintained, which made my stay really pleasant. What stood out most was the friendly and helpful staff, who made my trip even more enjoyable. Even though it was a short two-day stay, I was completely satisfied with the location, hygiene, and service. If I come back to Taipei, I'll definitely want to stay here again.

Great location, very close to Beimen Station and Ximen walking district isn't far. The bed frame tends to shift easily. The front desk staff were very polite, and it was convenient to store our luggage after check-out while we explored.

Solo traveler / Twin bed / 4th floor / 3 nights, Friday-Monday Pros: - Cleanliness: They clean every day. It's not super new, but good enough. - Location: Just a 5-minute walk to Ximending's bustling area. Bus stops and subways are close by, making it easy to get around. I traveled to many places and the location was excellent. The hotel is on a main road, so it felt safe walking around at night. I slept with the windows open and it was quiet. - Service: When I booked, I requested the cleanest room. I was worried after reading some reviews, but I was satisfied. The lobby staff tried their best to communicate using a translator, which was very kind of them. You can leave your luggage at the front desk before check-in and explore. Staff are at the lobby 24/7. - Bathroom: Good water pressure for the shower and toilet. Hot water came out instantly. Towels were changed daily. Only shampoo and body wash are provided. - Room: I had a twin room and pushed the beds together to have a spacious area to myself. I used the remaining space to unpack my luggage. It was more than enough. There's a closet, hairdryer, coffee pot, and mini-fridge. It was a bit chilly, so I slept with two blankets. Cons: - It's a key card that needs to be inserted to keep the power on, so you can't leave the AC running when you go out in the summer. - There's nothing right in front of the hotel. No convenience store. You have to walk towards the main street. - The photo shows the room with all the lights on. It might feel dark to some. However, I only used a small standing lamp, so it wasn't an issue for me. - The TV works, but it's easier to just assume it doesn't. It only shows ********* news. Conclusion: I would definitely stay here again. However, I'm a bit concerned that I might have just gotten lucky with a good room. I don't know what other rooms are like. It feels like a hit or miss. Still, at this price, you probably won't find a place with such good condition and location.
