May Rooms Taipei Nangang Station

This is a small hostel, with a narrow entrance and staircase that can only fit one person at a time, so be mindful if you have a lot of luggage. However, the interior decor is very cozy, and the landlady is friendly and enthusiastically explained all the facilities. It's about a ten-minute walk from both Nangang MRT Station and Nangang Exhibition Center Station, conveniently located in between the two. Plus, there's a bus stop right outside with many bus routes, yet it's very quiet at night. Overall, it offers great quality accommodation and convenient transportation options.

Very good, a nice place for a temporary stay. The service was also excellent.

Simple and clean.

The hotel was clean and tidy, but the rooms were a bit small. It was winter when I visited, and the blankets were a little thin. The bathroom was very clean. Overall, it was a suitable place for a short rest.

I chose this place because I had work near Nangang. The six-person room is first-come, first-served. The beds don't have curtains, so it's best to bring your own eye mask. The lights weren't turned off the night I stayed. The staff were very indifferent and offered no assistance with luggage, not even small items. The entrance was so small that even getting my suitcase in required several twists and turns. The hostel is on the second and third floors, so there's a flight of stairs to climb, which is quite difficult, so be careful. The showers and toilets are outside, and they're unisex. After showering, blow-drying your hair, brushing your teeth, and using the mirror are all outside. There's no air conditioning, and it gets very hot in the summer. The toilet looked quite dirty. Think again if you're considering staying here. Don't even consider it if you have heavy luggage.
