Reviews of Yi Su Hotel (Taipei Ningxia)

The location is superb, close to MRT station, close to night market. I was travelling with my child, the room looked clean and tidy except when i check under the bed, there was a ring, a donut, a water bottle and a water flask. Pretty shocking really. The shower is clean, except they give you an all in one washing liquid at the basin, for handwashing, hair washing and body wash (not sure I wanted to be impressed with the efficiency or the lack of effort from the hotel). Generally approachable and friendly staff. Wifi quite slow, better use your own roaming network.

The room is full of dust. There's dust on the table, cupboard, mug, kettle etc... it appears that the room has been empty for months. The room is also small, once you have your luggage opened, you won't be able to walk. Don't expect any service either. If you need an iron for your clothes, they don't deliver to your room, you have to go pick it up yourself from the front desk. There are no amenities either. So if you just want a basic no frills hotel, this might be for you.

I had a poor experience with this hotel, starting with unprofessional service at the front desk. The Wi-Fi connected, but there was no actual Internet access. There was no communication or warning when the tap water came out frighteningly dirty, and the hotel provided very old towels. The rooms lack soundproofing, so I was constantly disturbed by the sound of neighboring doors opening and closing, other room noises, and traffic from the nearby crossroad. Additionally, they charge for a late checkout after 11 a.m., even when occupancy was very low.

This is my third visit to the hotel. I love the location, walkable from Taipei Main station. The room was clean and basic amenities were provided. The price is reasonable. One problem however is that the check out time is 11 am which is slightly early compared to other hotels in Taipei.

Located in the middle between a few metro stations. Around 10 mins walking distance. But there’s option to take local bus just beside the hotel. Room wise is acceptable with the toilet and shower room splitter but not too small. Cleanliness can be improved as found a few stands of hair on the bed. The staff is friendly and allowed early check in as the room is already available.

Despite reading many poor reviews, our room was really quiet and cleaner than expected. There was a lot of dust near the mugs and kettle. The location could not have been better and the staff were friendly and spoke both English and Japanese.

Upon arrival, it became apparent that the hotel lacked basic amenities that are typically expected in a modern accommodation. From toiletries to in-room facilities, the absence of essential items was disappointing and inconvenient.

My stay at Taipei Yi Su Hotel is truly a positive one. Will definitely book this hotel again if I were to be back in Taipei. The clean room is definitely a huge plus. Additionally, the service staff were really helpful and friendly which made my stay there an enjoyable one. Also, the location is extremely convenient as it is really close to Taipei main station metro station and Ning Xia night market.

super near to ning xia market but we were so late in realizing it 🫣 we walked all the way to taipei station and transit for ning xia when we could just walk for 5 mins 🙂↔️
