I love hotels with a rich history 🏨, especially when they've been a filming location! 😊 Even though it's a bit far from the city center, taxis are super convenient. The hotel shuttle also runs frequently to the nearest MRT station 🚊. I stayed in two different room types, and even the windowless room didn't feel cramped; it was clean, fresh, and the AC was strong. When I switched rooms, all I had to do was leave my luggage inside, and the staff took care of everything. Coming back to a new room after a day out exploring was a joy! 🥳 I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Taipei.

The Grand Hotel itself is a 'museum' worth exploring in detail, with every corner offering a scenic view and a sense of history and stories. The room was spacious, and the balcony was also very large. From the room's balcony, you could even see planes flying over Taipei 101, which was incredibly beautiful.

We have stayed here many times -never got enough of it . Whenever I go to Taipei( I immigrate to UK , Taipei was my home town),I will stay at Grand Hotel this time was for my birthday few friends come to celebrate with me & share my birthday cake ! The room was huge -for a twin room you get 2 small double beds, everywhere are immaculately decorated Definitely 6stars !

Staying at the Grand Hotel Taipei was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! It was absolutely fantastic. Not only did I learn about the hotel's rich history and cultural background, but I also experienced incredibly warm and exceptional service. And the breakfast was superb!

Great location on high ground. The hotel facilities are complete and the environment is elegant. The service is exceptional, with staff proactively opening doors and helping with luggage directly to the room. The room I booked was spacious with a large balcony offering excellent views. Just note, no toiletries are provided in the room!

The room was huge, and I even got a twin-bed room that could comfortably fit four people. It truly lives up to its reputation as Taiwan's number one hotel. The Grand Hotel's decor is as grand and opulent as the National Palace Museum. I also booked a tour of the West Secret Passage for 200 NTD, but unfortunately, I had a flight to catch in the afternoon and couldn't see the East Secret Passage. I'd recommend touring the East Secret Passage instead; the West one isn't particularly interesting.

The Grand Hotel Taipei is truly exceptional. My stay there was a journey into history and culture, something I've wanted to experience for a long time. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was struck by its magnificent grandeur, a testament to traditional Chinese palace architecture. It offers a unique historical depth that you won't find anywhere else in Taipei. The room itself was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The staff were all very polite and professional, providing excellent service. The hotel also boasts a variety of distinctive cuisines, offering different flavors to try. The secret tunnel tour was a particular highlight; hotel guests can experience it at a discounted rate, which is fantastic. It was a rare historical exploration and I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is definitely a landmark, on par with national guesthouses. It boasts an excellent location and stunning views, giving off a grand and luxurious vibe overall. While the facilities are a bit dated, its majestic presence is undeniable. The interior features palace-like decor with large red pillars, hanging lanterns, and red carpets. Just a short walk away, you'll find the Shilin Night Market below and the Yuanshan Scenic Area behind, with several observation decks on the mountain offering panoramic views of Taipei.

The staff were all very professional and had excellent attitudes. The room was exceptionally clean. It's definitely a worthwhile stay for a trip to Taiwan. We stayed for two nights and three days, and tried most of the restaurants – the food was delicious. We also toured the secret passage, and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

Excellent hotel! On our last day, we were moved to a side-view room. The hotel staff helped us transfer all our luggage, including the contents of our safe, to the new room. I had requested an east-facing room at the front desk, and they happily accommodated me. The room was on the east side of the main building and offered an even better view than the back-facing room I had for the first two nights, with a lovely river view and Taipei 101. I even got to see the sunrise the next morning.

The Grand Hotel is definitely an iconic hotel in Taipei, and I believe it offers excellent value for money. As a tourist, I think choosing this place is a great idea, especially considering its location, decor, and historical significance. I'd recommend everyone visiting Taiwan to experience staying at this grand hotel.

When I first arrived, I found the transportation a bit inconvenient, but I quickly got used to the shuttle bus to Yuanshan MRT Station. The room conditions were great, and the service and attitude were excellent. Overall, I had a very good impression and I would definitely stay here again.
