Stayed at IF Inn for 8 days from 15th February to 23rd February. Picked this hotel as it was centrally located. 15 minute walk to Taipei Main Station which is a straight walk down from the hotel. There is also another train station near by, Daqiaotou Station which is a 4-5 minute walk away. The hotel itself is located in the Datong District which feels like you are living among the locals. Night markets are also near by. Hotel itself was spacious enough. Queen bed with lounge, air conditioning, small lounge and with a bidet toilet. The room was clean and, there is also a washing machine, but no dryer. If you need to dry your clothes there are several laundry services near by. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you want to experience Taipei and its culture as it’s an old district with many temples. The service was great, as they clean the rooms everyday. Check-in is done via a AI machine, however if you have problems there is an intercom service where you can speak to a human who are all very helpful. However, during the week there is someone at the front desk. The location is a bit hard to find as the entrance is just around the corner from what the actual address is (10 seconds away). I went during ***** new year so the escalators were shut on the main street and so were most of the shops, however at night it is bustling with many local attractions nearby which you can walk to or take the MRT which is very efficient. I would stay here again when I come back to visit Taipei. Taiwan is a beautiful place and cannot wait to go back again. Locals are very helpful as well.  I took photos of the room while we had occupied it for a few days, so don’t mind the mess.

I visited with my mother, and it was surprisingly quite spacious with a good location. We had a pleasant stay.

I chose this place because it was the cheapest option in the area where I wanted to stay. The location is okay; it’s about a 10–15-minute walk to the subway station. It basically has everything shown in the pictures and listed in the description. Unfortunately, there are a few issues and aspects that spoiled my stay a bit. The shower drain was unfortunately half-clogged, so the water in the shower kept rising and I was standing with my feet half in the water. If you showered for a longer time, the water would even overflow. Room cleaning sometimes goes on into the evening. I came back once at 4:30 p.m., and the housekeeping staff was just in the process of cleaning my room. But there have also been times when I’ve returned to my room at 2:00 PM to grab something, and the room had already been cleaned. It seems somewhat random, but it is a bit unpleasant when you come home after a tiring day in Taipei and the cleaning is still in progress. But it was simply the cheapest option in the immediate area, so it was fine for me.

Although check-in is generally unattended, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I stayed here 10 years ago and would definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Taiwan.

Great Hotel

The hotel is located near the main train station. Check-in and check-out are automated and staffless. The room is comfortable and clean. A kettle and hairdryer are provided. Hot water and drinking water are available free of charge in the lobby. A nice hotel for an overnight stay and exploring the city.

Within walking distance of Dadaocheng Ferry Pier, Dihua Street ***** New Year Market, Yan San Night Market, and Dadaocheng Cisheng Temple. The room is spacious, and the dehumidifier can be used continuously without interruption. For this price, it's excellent value for money. Although it's a contactless, unmanned counter service, basic needs can be met via phone or text message.

First of all, what I liked most was the spaciousness of the room, which made packing luggage and souvenirs very convenient, a big plus. It's also very close to Dihua Old Street. However, the location is slightly less ideal for foreign tourists.

The air conditioning blows directly at my head. I've tried adjusting it to different directions, but I still feel a gust of wind blowing on my head, which I don't like. There's Wi-Fi, but the signal is extremely weak, so I can barely watch online TV.

For a hotel of this size, the establishment has done its best within its capabilities. For example, the bottled water and body wash in the rooms are both high-quality ********* brands, adding a touch of uniqueness while also introducing ********* culture to outsiders. It would have been even better if the rooms had air purifiers. As for the location, it's about a 20-minute drive to the East District, but nearby Dadaocheng is actually more tourist-friendly. The Shuang L shopping district is surrounded by shops with over 50 years of history. If you can't stand the long lines, you can buy food to eat in your room—an unseen advantage.

The WiFi signal is weak, almost unusable.
