Hotels in Raohe Street Night Market, Taipei

The room facilities were quite old, and the air conditioning in my room was broken, so I had to request a room change. Because I was sick, I wanted to check in early, but the front desk service was very mediocre and they gave me a very bad room. After leaving the hotel, a small incident occurred: I left my clothes in the room, and after some communication, they were finally found. The only good experience was that the breakfast here was excellent and very plentiful.

Not far from the subway station. Check-in was supposed to be at 3 PM, but since there were plenty of rooms available, I was able to check in early at 1:30 PM. The check-out time is also quite late, before 12 PM.

Waterfront Hotel Taipei is within walking distances to MRT and Local train station. The night market and convenient stores are nearby. I am satisfied with the ample amenities here like self-service laundry, common area on the first floor for dining, water dispenser, and coffee machine. The floor carpet in the stairway and corridor minimise the sound of footsteps. There is a choice of room type with the view of Keelung River, and comes with reasonable price. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out. Front desk management team is friendly, young and vibrant. I enjoyed staying here 😃

From my three nights’ experience with the hotel, there’s pros and cons from my perspective of the hotel. Pros: - great location, as there’s a night market just below the hotel and it was not far from the mrt station - when I first walk into the room, it was bright and cleanliness was still in my acceptable level Cons: - it seems that the daily room cleaning, they didn’t vacuum the room, but they did change the bed sheet - the sound proofing of the room was a problem to me, as other travellers came back late, I could literally heard what was their conversation - I felt that it wasn’t that safe for solo travellers, as the building was shared with the locals which means anyone could have gone up to any floors I don’t think the hotel worth the money I’ve paid and it cost me RM300+/night

Self-check-in is quite convenient, the service staff is also very active, the room is very clean, there are snacks and tea bags in the corridor can be used very extra points, the sockets are new plugs or USB, there is 7-11 opposite the downstairs is very convenient.

The hotel is very old, and definitely need some renovations, especially to get rid of the mould appearing in many places. The majority of the rooms have no windows, and those that do have windows, would be facing the wall of the next building right in front of the window. (touching distance). So, having a window is only for fresh air and not for viewing purposes. You have to bring your toiletries, such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shavers, etc...though they do have a Dollar Store across the street where you can get them cheaply. But the location is definitely the best for me because it is right in front of the most famous night market, and the MTR/Subway, bus stop and YuBike rental station is also just in front of the night market.

The traffic is excellent, the rooms are clean, but the ventilation needs to be improved; in addition, there is no wardrobe hanger, which is not suitable for long stay. In terms of sound insulation, you can hear a little TV sound next door, and friends who are mindful suggest to bring earplugs.

Hotel location is very good, very close to Raohe Street Night Market. The front desk customer service is very warm. If you need help, try your best to help, praise, and recommend staying.

The front desk staff were quite friendly and attentive. Cleanliness was just okay; there was long hair on the sink, and the floor wasn't swept properly, with lint visible. Don't ask for proof, I didn't take pictures, but there's no point in deliberately badmouthing them. Facilities were basic, but the business room was usable. The main advantage is its convenient access to the subway. The outsourced breakfast's peanut butter and meat patty sandwich was good. For the first two days, we got one meal voucher per room, but on the third day, we received two, which was great as we could try the turnip cake stir-fried with rice cakes. But I wonder why the standard changed.
