The hotel is brand new. Interior Design jS especially fantastic. Many details display like lighting, towel handle, floor materials, room size, charging pots, high quality flushing system...etc. The view is nice, facing Yang Ming mountain. Close to night market. However it takes around 10-15mins walk to Jian Tan mrt station. There are convenient stores downstairs and bus routes to various station. Will consider to stay again next time.

Though it's a historic building, the hotel is beautifully maintained and exudes a majestic charm. I loved finding historical pieces and displays around every corner.
We stayed for three nights in two different rooms. The first was an economy room, which offered great value with all essentials provided, even a small bathtub, although it lacked windows. The second room was incredibly spacious, featuring a large balcony with views of lush greenery.
The location, perched on a hill, might not be the most convenient, but the hotel provides frequent shuttle buses to Jian Tan station (near Shilin Market) and Yuan Shan. The shuttle ride takes about 10 minutes.
On our last day, I bought their delicious winter melon cubes, which are amazing when steeped in Oolong tea—simply heavenly!
Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I’d gladly return.

Sure, here's a review for N Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan:
---
N Hotel is a convenient choice for travelers looking to explore Taipei, Taiwan. Situated in the heart of the city, its proximity to the bustling Ximending Market makes it an ideal base for those who want to experience the vibrant culture and culinary delights of Taipei.
I recently stayed in a Standard Double Room at N Hotel, which, despite not having a window, provided a comfortable and restful environment. The room was well-appointed with modern amenities, including a cozy bed, a clean bathroom, and essential toiletries. While the lack of natural light might deter some, I found the room to be adequately lit and ventilated, ensuring a pleasant stay.
The standout feature of N Hotel is its unbeatable location. Within walking distance from the hotel, guests can immerse themselves in the lively atmosphere of Ximending, where street food vendors, trendy boutiques, and entertainment options abound. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near public transportation hubs, making it easy to explore other attractions in Taipei.
The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a smooth check-in process and addressing any inquiries promptly. While the facilities may not be the most luxurious, the overall value for money at N Hotel is excellent, especially considering its prime location in Taipei.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend N Hotel to travelers seeking a comfortable stay in Taipei's city center. Whether you're a foodie, shopaholic, or culture enthusiast, the hotel's proximity to Ximending and its accessibility to transportation make it a top choice for experiencing all that Taipei has to offer.

Hyatt Hotel. Located in the trendy and vibrant area of Taipei and just three-minute walk from the Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station. "EPISODE Daan Taipei" is located in the bustling Daan District, boasting rooms of various styles. Not only does it offer rooms with stunning views of Taipei 101, but it also features luxurious rooms with private balconies and bathtubs. The design theme of the rooms revolves around music and retro elements, with warm, high-color furniture and accessories. Each room is equipped with a retro vinyl CD player and EPISODE curated CDs, taking guests back to the classic era of golden music. The rooms are furnished with carefully selected luxury amenities, including top-tier bedding such as the Sealy mattress, 400-thread-count soft sheets, and noise-canceling earplugs. Bath amenities are provided by the New York modern minimalist skincare brand MALIN+GOETZ, and hairdryers are from the Korean salon brand UNIX. Facial acupressure massage sticks are also available in the rooms. Another highlight of the hotel is "The Social by Lay Low," a collaboration with the iconic bar Lay Low from Taichung. This space combines music, cocktails, dining, art, and a wall of vinyl records, transforming the traditional lobby area into a cozy living room-like environment. Guests can enjoy a variety of complimentary snacks and specialty drinks throughout the day, and DJ performances and jazz bands will be invited to perform regularly.

This is the new brand of Hyatt Hotel group in Taipei.
First imoression: similar to Moxy, Citizen M focuses on social and fun with a touch of old fashion-CD Player and old music (nice & used to be popular).
Room: good size with a cute wooden box CD player. The room has 2 bottles of 'sustainable glass bottle water', 1 energy powder, capsule coffee, and 2 tea bags. Toiletries were normal standard, and the cute part is eye mask, pillow mist, wooden massage board, ear plugs & and mask.
F&B: they have one bar, which was a well-known bar from Taichung. I had a cocktail with a blend of tea. Way too sweet... It's not my ideal..
5:30-6:30 pm Cocktail time offered free red and white wine, beer, and other soft drinks. I think the brand of white wine and red wine are pretty bad. I only used them for cooking, not drinkable... I honestly think if you gonna offer at least not a common brand of cooking wine that downgrade their chic standard.
Breakfast was offered by ground floor restaurant, American style. I didn't choose it due to lack of time.
The location is great, about 5 minutes from METRO station. There are only 4 stops from Taipei station.
For this price, I think it's higher than other hotels. I would think 2 main reasons: 1st, it's a new one, 2nd good location and brand.
But may not be value for money type of Hotel.
One funny thing: after comparing with hyatt member price, OTA is cheaper, which is very common. But, I consumed beverages I could not accumulate my spending in my membership points, which I don't see the point.

We stayed at this hotel for our quarantine stay (3+4). This hotel was the highest priced quarantine hotel in Taipei. As Taiwan is moving away from quarantine, it is unclear whether this hotel will remain a quarantine hotel. Provided meals: Three meals were provided. I believe they rotated it somewhat. I would give them 4 stars overall. They were of mid-to-high end quality, but certainly not Michelin star or 5-star hotel restaurant's quality. That is, I had much better at The Regent or The Sheraton Taipei. That said, there was a microwave in the room for one to heat up the meals to a warmer setting as the meals were prepared in bulk at the lobby. They were lukewarm when the meals arrived in our room. It appeared some meals were prepared by the hotel restaurant and others were from outside sources. The meals were *********, Korean, and Japanese focused. If one wants Western foods, then Food Panda or Uber Eats will be what you want. There are expensive local restaurants at Xinyi Districts that you can pay for to get your own food. Check with the hotel on delivery times, I believe that they won't refund the costs of the meals if one chooses not to eat the prepaid meals. Prior to booking the quarantine hotel, they will send one a form to ask for some preferences and/or allergies. There was a toaster and hot water boiler in the room. The drip coffee and tea packets were super flavorful and refilled (via Line or other means of contact) during our stay. In fact, most contacts were done remotely during the quarantine period. Room: This is what one is paying for in this place if one is stuck here for 8 days (landing day is Day 0). The bed and beddings were super comfortable. The bed was a full king, My room was in the smaller side, but sufficient for two people and eight pieces of luggage. The room was super clean. We know, because we tried wiping some areas and found them to be stainless. We also noticed, via the peephole, that housekeeping took over two hours to deep clean our neighbor's room - including the use of what appeared to be an ultraviolet wand to clean some service areas. There was a clothes-wire in the bathroom if one needed to do handwash laundry during the quarantine stay. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide any detergent, but we used the provide soap, The bathroom was large with rain showerhead available. The toilet was a bit too high up off the floor for us as we are around 5 ft 8 inches but flushed well. If one's room faced south or east, one would get a good view of Taipei 101. The south side would get a full view, and east side (our room) got the view from the couch in the ”living room” area. The TV was pretty large and we could watch it from our bed comfortably. The only complaint, if any, was that it didn't have as many international channels for this high-end hotel. I wanted Bloomberg, but nothing was offered. Not even CNBC. The WiFi was very fast. The location was convenient. It was near the City Hall MRT (took about 5-7 min

We booked the city view room, but honestly, the view was a bit disappointing. Maybe it's because we were only on the 2nd floor. But otherwise everything else was fine and the staff were really helpful.
Breakfast was packed with a variety of food, none suited my taste but that's more of a me problem. Definitely recommend going a bit early as it tends to get more crowded later on for breakfast.

EEricaDear Doubletree by Hilton Taipei,
I would like to offer my compliments to your dedicated team for our very enjoyable stay in your hotel from 3-7 June 2024.
We stayed in rooms 1203 and 1205 and the reservation was made under Ms Erica Tan.
I had stayed in some 5 star hotels such as Shang Ri La Singapore, Westin Singapore, Ritz Carlton Singapore, Kempinski Xiamen to name a few but my stay in Doubletree by Hilton Taipei was one of the most comfortable and pleasant.
The check in by the warm and friendly reception staff was efficient and smooth.
When my daughter accidentally dropped one of the delicious welcome Hilton cookies on the floor, the reception staff quickly replaced it with a warm smile.
When my daughter teared after knowing that there isn’t a swimming pool in the premise, your reception staff, Tina, immediately walked up to us with a map and suggested that we can go to a nearby swimming pool facilities.
Tina also gave us some excellent food suggestions. We had a very satisfying and affordable meal at the Michelin recommended Ji Jia Zhuan ( 鸡家庄), thanks to her recommendation :)
Whenever we return to the hotel from a day of sightseeing, the reception team on duty never failed to greet us in a warm and friendly manner. We felt genuinely welcomed:)
The modern Japandi style rooms and bathrooms are kept in an excellent condition and feel brand new. We especially like how bright, airy and spacious the rooms are.
Kudos to the housekeepers ( Ms Cai Xiu Hui 蔡秀慧阿姨) on level 12 who kept our rooms 1203 and 1205 so clean and comfortable. They always chat amicably with us and confirmed with us if we need any housekeeping service.
The TV entertainment system with its 47 channels ( including TLC, Discovery) , Netflix, YouTube and IQiYi really impressed us.
The semi buffet style daily breakfast sets
( Chinese, Japanese and Western) are healthy and delish and we really looked forward to breakfast every morning.
We hope that Chinese baos (包子)and dim sum pastry such as you tiao ( 油条、蛋饼)can also be offered in future when we next pay a visit to your hotel :)
We would also like to thank your reception staff and housekeepers who helped my mom who stayed in room 1205 on 6 June when the toilet encountered some flushing issues.
My mom had approached the reception staff at around 4 pm on 6 June and the very helpful male reception staff accompanied her to her room and helped remediate the problem along with the housekeeper. She was very impressed by how efficient and friendly your staff were.
All in all, your team has done a great job in our stay. Their service attitude are genuine and warm :) My daughter enjoyed her stay so
much that she kept remarking she would like to extend our stay to 2 more weeks:)
We hope you will pass on the compliments to your team and the staff we named, as a gesture of our appreciation.
NNatalieSteps away from Beimen MRT and a quick walk to Taipei Main Station. Convenient for getting around the city.
Comfortable beds and powerful showers provide a pleasant stay.
TTMYJStandard five stars hotel
Pool is a bit small and locker is not available nearby
A bit noisy at lobby and restaurant areas
Restaurants are closing earlier than expected
MMiko BayuajiIt's a great hotel with great facility and great location. It has great and instaworthy design.n
Well, when it comes to value to money, this hotel is a let down.
The price is overrated compare to the added value of the room and service you can get.
Unless you really have high budget for hotel stay so that you can afford their suites room in high floor, the room (including its view) is just a so so (compare to its price)
The most let down is their breakfast service in Yen. It consistently gave me an unfair table placement during my stay. Fyi, I am a non chinese asian solo traveller. I always come to the breakfast place quite early before 7 AM so that there are so many empty table. The restaurant officer always escort me to sit in small table with almost no view. Everytime i asked why i can't sit in the more better better place, they will answer that the tables are for more than 2 person. Again, i arrived very early in the morning so that almost every tables are empty. First, i tried to be positive, that maybe this restaurant would be very full soon and the officer would consistently place a single person guest like me in the smaller uninteresting position table. I was very dissapointed when they just escorted single or 2 person westerners to the tables with the best view with the capacity for 4 people or even sofa pavillion for 6. They were stayed there alone until their finish their breakfast. So dissapointed with this unfair treatment. Its front desk performance during my check out on june 4th 2023. It's almost 7 and only 1 officer standby. It's a very long waiting time (since i wait there since 06.35 AM). I also cant use the express check out because the express check out box has information that i can only do the express check out if I chose it during the check in (which nobody informed me).
So my insight from this trip is:
1. Prepare a high budget so that you can afford their suites. You will experience the real W experience with that kind of room
2. Their breakfast restaurants service not really a best place for solo asian non chinese traveller. It has a great food and good view but yeah not the best service based on my experience
GGuest UserGood things first - Location is excellent if you need to be near Songshan airport. Room is large.
********* hotels no longer provide toothbrushes & toothpaste - this is apparently a government regulation.
The provided toiletries e.g. soap are not great.
however, there were good quality bedroom slippers were a v pleasant surprise.
I checked in after 9pm on a Friday with a flight to catch in 10hrs' time. Staff were friendly at check-in.
Noticed no water was provided in the rooms.
A large notice was displayed informing us to contact them on their app for ALL services. The app showed there was no room service menu, so no worries, I thought I'd just buy cup noodles from the very well-stocked 7-11 located in the lobby, and boil some water.
The kettle's plug was severely bent. The app did not understand 'kettle faulty' and kept telling me where it was.
That's when I realised their app was just a useless robot!
Tried ringing Housekeeping from the room phone but nobody picked up.
Brought the kettle to Front desk to show them. Counter lady had 0 apologies, just an unfriendly expression and told me I should have just called them 🙄. Her more-professional colleague said they'd help me contact Housekeeping.
Housekeeping brought along another faulty kettle 🤦🏻♀️ but he was at least apologetic. While waiting for him to bring a 3rd one, I called the Front Desk again intending to ask for free water since their amenities suck.
Just my luck - grumpy lady picked up and - again - without apology, kept interrupting me to declare they DID have water but it was self service and that they DID inform guests with small print on their key card and a picture of water on the room door. What the...?!
I told her she had a terrible attitude, at which she laughed and I hung up.
I've stayed in hotels where water was self-service - BUT those hotels ensured guests were well notified at check-in and large signs were displayed in various languages in the rooms.
In comparison - Illume failed miserably in this area, and their failure was further exacerbated by faulty equipment, poor service standards (lousy app + ill-manned housekeeping hotline) & the Front Desk staff's inhospitable attitude.
WwanderwithzoeFrom the moment you step into the hotel, you're greeted by friendly staff, making you feel right at home. Despite being a self check-in process, the staff from the office are quick to assist, ensuring everything goes smoothly. Check-in was efficient and hassle-free.
The room itself was cozy, with just enough space for my 29” luggage opened on the floor. I booked a double bed without windows and was pleasantly surprised to find a bathtub in the bathroom—definitely a nice touch. The bathroom amenities were good, with two types of shower gel in the bathing area and a well-stocked sink with essentials like a toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream and shaver, shower cap, cotton buds, and more. The provided hair dryer was particularly useful. The room is well-equipped with plenty of power points, making it easy to charge all your devices. The sockets are international, so I didn’t even need to use my adaptor—a very convenient feature!
Room service was prompt and the staff were consistently friendly and efficient, changing bath towels daily. There’s also a handy leather-bound reference book in the room to answer any questions you might have.
The only downside is the limited food options directly below the hotel. However, a quick Uber ride (~5SGD) will take you to the popular Fu Hang Soy Milk for a delicious, hearty breakfast, and thereafter you may begin your adventure of the day! For those with large luggage or tired from a long day trip, I recommend using Beimen Station (Exit 2) as it has escalators and is a shorter walk from the hotel as compared to any other exits from Taipei Main Station. Otherwise, UBER is another great option. The hotel is also very near to the Airport Express Line which takes about an hour to the airport.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located at a very strategic place: super near to Taipei station & suitcase friendly.
The nearest exit is Z4, but since the Taipei station is so complicated, I'll suggest getting an exit to the ground first instead of searching Z4 exit underground. It will be wayyyyy easy to locate the hotel.
I booked the no window room, no issue on my side, but need to be careful on setting the alarm since you won't be able to know the time by the sunlight.
And, a noticeable service provided is that they will help you to keep your luggage after you checkout, so for ppl with night flight, it's super convenient to walk around before the flight.
Overall, friendly staff, clean and bright space, strategic location, cheap price, nice place.
LLai We have stay in Star Beauty hotel in Shillin District for 5 nights. We took MRT from aTaoyuan Airport to Taipei Station and have to change MTR Red Line to Jiantan Station and take 10 minutes walk to Star Beauty Hotel. The hotel is far from the City Center Siah Mun Ting.
We stay in Luxury Room and room size is big, bed and pillows are comfortable, air-cond is cooling, water pressure for shower is good, room wi-fi sometime working and sometime no connection. It will take 20 minutes walk to Shillin Night Market.
The hotel is near to jiantan Station and we are easily to take MTR and Buses to move around in Taipei. We will stay again if we go to Taipei in the near future.
BBig BeckerI’ve stayed a lot of places in this has by far been my worst experience in years. I think as far as the location and amenities and the cleanliness everything is fine. But I tried to cancel my booking they refuse because somebody is snoring so loudly I can’t sleep from 2 AM to 7 AM. It’s impossible for me to sleep. so then I finally get a few hours of sleep I’m awake and I am packing my stuff getting ready to leave and they promptly come right at 12 o’clock as I’m already leaving, the system they have in the checkout has them want to charge me. The front desk was pretty rude to me as I was leaving I told them this isn’t fair. Also, as I was leaving, there was a European guy there was working for the place. He was doing his daily activities and I was offering to clean the bathroom by taking out the trash that was overflowing and he freaked out at me and told me to put it back. let’s just say it was a horrible night and even worse but luckily the dumplings that were right outside put me in a better mood. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I noticed that the Fun Inn (that was nothing but fine. I asked a few people if they were busy they were just sitting around on their phones and they all said they were) had already sent Trip.com a message that I had checked out a couple minutes late. Well, I just wanna let everybody know that this could stay anywhere else other than that place.
PPplyThe hotel was not too far from the train station. The room was pretty small and a bit old but considering the affordable price, i have no complaint.
