Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II

I have mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and they deserve to be praised, but there is a clear problem in how the hotel is managed. First of all, an hotel that large, with just one elevator. That is just nuts. Each time we needed to use it, it was at least 5-10 minutes wait, if not more. Also the hotel is clearly understaffed. For breakfast, one of the days there were more than 100 people in the room, with just 1 person to check-in people. The line was just unbearable. It seems the rooms were renovated not that long ago, but it was clearly a faulty renovation. The isolation is poor to non existent given the rain sounds makes it difficult to sleep. And don't get me started with the air isolation, which it directly none. If the wind blows, a breeze flows into the room, causing the curtains to make noise all day long. To be fair also, the location is convenient, just across the street from the bus station, so taking transportation to/from the train station, or along the amazing east coast was easy and quick. All in all, not an awful stay, but I am sure there are better options in the same price range with better overall quality.

Staffs are very friendly and kind. We booked 5 rooms and all have free upgrade to premium room, appreciate. The room is spacious although the mattress a bit hard type, but overall are good.

The room sucks! Will never go again. Very poor room quality and cheap design. My mom complained the whole night and day. Will never go again.

I had a pleasant stay at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel 4 years ago, so thought I'd try Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II this time, as they are located near to each other, very close to the bus station and Tiehua Village. This is a great location to explore the city. However, other than the superb location and the bigger room, there isn't much else to love about this hotel. There was literally no service at this branch. Staff were not welcoming and unlike other hotels in Taiwan, they do not greet guests when you are at the lobby. I also never saw any of them smile at guests. In fact, on my first day of check-in, I was blatantly told to check in at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel instead, because "the hotel is closed for the day". When I asked how come I was not informed earlier, the staff answered "because you don't have a Taiwan mobile number". This is absurd to me, isn't there the Trip.com messaging service where you can contact guests? Very disappointed with the way they handle such cases, no apology at all, and just gives a very transactional feeling. The only time I encountered a staff who greeted me was at the breakfast restaurant. Room amenities and facilities look like they need proper maintenance, and the windows were so dirty. The bed was also not very comfortable to sleep on. Lastly, I know Taiwan hotel breakfasts are usually not so nice compared to eating out in the breakfast shops, but the quality of the breakfast was really bad. Seasonal fresh fruit selection was only watermelon on 1 morning, and guava + watermelon on another. In conclusion, very disappointed with my stay here this time. Will definitely think twice about returning to Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II the next time I visit Taitung again.

The reception I met was very unfriendly and inpatient.

Very nice staffs, great location with shopping centers and restaurants around, closed to night market. Free parking lot. highly recommended if you are planning to stay in Taitung for your vacation with your friends/family
