The location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from Takayama Station. The service was excellent, with staff taking the time to explain all the hotel's facilities. At check-in, guests can choose a kimono for complimentary rental. They also provided a selection of aromatic essential oils, which smelled wonderful. The room was spacious, and sleeping on the tatami mats was surprisingly comfortable. Highly recommended!

Stayed there with as a family of 3. While I really wanted to like the ryokan due to the warm service and great feedback from friends, my own experience was a bit disappointing. We have stayed in many traditional ryokans prior to this and were familiar with the setup. We are appreciative with the warm service and sincere touches; like candies at check in, but the ryokan itself is really quite old and in need of a refresh. Our room is tucked away in a corner and required us to go down a small flight of stairs to reach. I am not sure if the location meant that is a bit colder than the rest of the rooms but we really did feel cold and the heating was inadequate. The in built heater would also stop and beep in the middle of the night, which led 2 of us falling sick at the start of the trip. We requested for a additional small heater which helped a bit. Second night, our 9yo son also got many mysterious bites all over his leg. He claimed to have seen a bug crawl under the tatami mat but we were not certain and therefore did not feedback to the ryokan as we only had one more remaining night to go. We had only stayed 1 night in nagoya's marriott associa hotel prior to our ryokan visit, and his skin improved after we left Takayama, leading us to think that it might have been the stay there.

i love this hotel, good location, clean, nice service, it s ryokan, have onsen and private bathtub, also room diffuser that you can choose smell by yourself, and they have yugata clothes to us , i love it

Small hotel with attentive staff. Public onsen not crowded, clean and enjoyable. Meals available but requires pre booking. Walkable to JR station.

Beautiful hotel, very stylish. Your bed is made-up during your dinner-time. Nice common area! And you you can use the public bath or make reservations for a private bath, You can dress up in local dresss which they’ll provide you. Tea was given & 2 sweets!

A wonderful experience. Our stay at this ryokan made us thankful that we decided to kickoff our holiday at Takayama and stay for 4D3N! Everything was impeccable. From the service of their team, the cleanliness of their accommodation (& of your luggage and shoes!) and the breakfast spread served. My first time sleeping on futon beds and it was comfortable. Also especially love that they have both private bath and public onsen, and complimentary use of washing and drying machines (detergent is chargeable but affordable). Not forgetting that the place is also very conveniently located near the train and bus station. Really enjoyed our stay!

The charges are high, the facilities are average, the hot spring room needs to be paid separately, breakfast was not included, and they also promoted essential oils and kimonos. When checking out, they charged 600 yen in tax. At this price, I can stay in a five-star hotel. I don't recommend it. In addition, the air conditioning in the room is sometimes cold and sometimes not, especially during the day, it seems to be only blowing air. This is the only time, and the star hotel is guaranteed.

The hotel is in a great location, about a 3-minute walk from the JR bus station. The room is very chic and the front desk service is also excellent. The downside is that the hot springs are just two small pools and the facilities are relatively old. There is basically no wifi in the room, and the speed of connecting is very slow. The most bizarre thing is the breakfast time. As a resort hotel, the latest start time for breakfast is 8 o'clock, and the service stops at 9 o'clock.

The hotel is not big, just opposite the high-speed rail station and the express bus station, the location is very good. It is very close to the ancient street and Takayama Jinya, and it takes about 20 minutes to walk and play.
