The hosts are a Korean couple, the hotel is quite far away, and remote, the property as far unlimited facilities, there is an onzen you can book for 45 minutes,, and that’s it. And room cleaning ass is really so so. It’s fine for an overnight stay, but really, it’s far away from everything you wanna get, despite we have a car.

This was a great stay with a local family that runs an inn in the hills outside Taketa. The innkeeper is a friendly older gentleman who can speak some English, but mainly communicates using his online translation app. He is very interested in getting to know the people who stay at his place and initiates conversation to learn more about you. In this way, he is culturally different than many other Japanese people, who are more reserved. Our main purpose for coming to the area was to see Drum Tao, and their location is a 30-minute walk from the inn. We didn't have a car during our trip and took a taxi from Bungo-Taketa, but the innkeeper was willing to drive us to Tao and also to a restaurant a short ways down the road. The innkeeper has also built an observatory on the property and if it is a clear night, he'll invite guests to come and look through his very impressive telescope. On the night we were there, we were able to see the moon, Mars, Jupier, several stars, and the Orion Nebula through the telescope. Not something you get at a standard hotel.

The family makes you very welcome. Excellent location for visiting the major attractions. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. An Onzen is also on site. It's a pity that it was raining most of the time

It's inconvenient if you don't have a car, but it's a wonderful environment. The owner was kind and gave me good advice regarding sightseeing when I asked about it. The facility is a bit old so there seems to be room for improvement. It was a very nice hotel for us.

The surroundings are very comfortable and close to nature. The host was very friendly and provided handwritten guides for nearby attractions and restaurants. In the evening, he gave us a presentation on the starry sky and the moon from the observatory. It was a very special and enjoyable experience. Although communication was not smooth, the host continued to explain things to us through the translation system. The only downside was that the room we stayed in was notified upon arrival that the exterior was under renovation, but we were still allowed to stay. The check-out time was 10 a.m., but the construction started at 8 a.m., which prevented us from getting a good night's sleep.

The boss and his wife are very nice and hospitable. They also introduced nearby restaurants when checking in. If you don't have dinner reservations, don't worry about going there for dinner. There are also stargazing activities at night. The equipment used for stargazing is a professional telescope. It is a very memorable event, which is why the location is a bit remote. Unfortunately, there were heavy clouds that night. Unable to stargaze. The hotel also has hot spring facilities. The venue is booked in time periods. The breakfast is also very rich. The hotel's interior facilities are European style. Gives people a comfortable feeling. Very promotional!

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for choosing your inn for our recent trip to Kumamoto. The comfort of the room and the hard facilities far exceeded our expectations. We were particularly impressed that it remained warm enough despite the cold season. Furthermore, we had a wonderful time stargazing, beyond our imagination. Being able to stargaze was an unexpected surprise during this trip, and both my mother and I were very surprised and delighted. Thanks to you, we were all very satisfied and were able to spend a fun time. The breakfast was also very delicious and plentiful, and both my mother and I ate enough to be full. We were really lucky to have been able to choose your inn. We would definitely like to recommend your inn to our friends in Taiwan someday. Thank you so much for this experience. We sincerely wish you continued success in the future.

The hotel owner is a very polite and enthusiastic uncle. He enthusiastically explained the hotel arrangements and surrounding hotel information in detail, and even inserted a night stargazing session to experience the romance of the night sky. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by trees and has a large beautiful lawn. The hotel's houses are also very European-style and very clean! In addition, there are hot springs available, plus various landscapes, it is a very relaxing experience!
