Choose this hotel because it was close to my son’s apartment . It was one of the most run down dirty hotels I have ever stayed in. Filthy lobby and elevator . Most room doors had big chunks missing. Bathroom sink did not drain . Sheets were very itchy and I woke up with a bug bite on my arm. Room faced the street and it was very noisy couldn’t sleep. Couldn’t wait to check out left early in morning. Am titanium Bonvoy and never in 30 years posted a bad review bug this hotel stay was awful

This hotel has not been renovated in years and it does not have double pane glass windows. The rooms that face the street sound like you are sleeping on the highway. I asked to move and the hotel is full; I get that... but there is no way a hotel should be selling rooms that are this noisy. They have a little white noise machine that does nothing to block the noise of sirens and yahoos racing down the street. Avoid unless you can get a courtyard facing room. Also...I'm in a room with two queen beds and one of them was clearly not changed after the last guest was here. See photo... The front desk woman Anita was super nice, but one of the men working the front could not have cared less when I mentioned that the noise was unacceptable.
Response from Property: Dear Execplatinum, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. In your comments, you mentioned that your stay was interrupted by a loud disturbance caused by the street noises and sirens. My hope is that all our guests experience a relaxing and peaceful stay, and I am very sorry that this wasn’t your experience. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest, and I hope you give us an opportunity in hosting you again, whenever your travels bring you back to the area. Nothing nice to say about this hotel. The staff was unfriendly, unaccommodating and unapologetic when I asked for a higher floor room. The room was old with an unpleasant odor, the bathroom shower was horrible. The bed was small and uncomfortable. The location of the room was right over the street, we had cars blasting their music. It was not a good night.

Joshua is the Consummate Concierge. This was our first trip to Tampa and he was so courteous, professional, and full of knowledge about dining experiences in a myriad of cuisines, the closest Publix as we needed to pick up things for NFL tailgate at the game on Sunday. The room was fabulous -- lots of pillows for us huggers!

I’ll start off that I’m a loyal Marriott customer with Platinum Elite status (Bonvoy/Marriott) so I’m very familiar with the Marriott owned hotels. I’ll do a quick pros and cons to provide a feel of the hotel: Pros: • Filtered Reverse Osmosis water station was next to our room • Room was spacious Cons: • When we reached, the staff at the check in counter did not seem interested not was very welcoming. • There is no safe to keep your valuables such as passports. We asked the front desk if there is any place to store our passports and the answer was there isn’t much they can help with as the rooms don’t have safes. • The sink was cracked. • The AC was dripping water and the carpet as a result was getting wet. • We had to use the sofa bed for our son and we were handed sheets to make the sofa bed ourselves. We thought not a big deal, but this was the first time ever in any Marriott (other than Vacation Club properties) that this happened. • The sheets for the sofa bed should seriously look more presentable (winkled beyond what you would ever expect). • Dated interior. For the sheets and sink comments, I have included pictures as well. Overall, for the first time in a long time, was not impressed by a Marriott property and the level of service at all.

Older looking hotel inside and outside. Friendly staff but the room was peculiarly damp. I spent three nights here and it never changed. The A/C unit is one of those through-the-wall units which I actually prefer and it was blowing cold but the air in the room was damp. Not just my room, but everyone at the event I was with that was staying here said their rooms were damp too. Unusual and uncomfortable. No complimentary breakfasts or beverages. Probably would not return.

Woke up at 2:00 am to super loud rap music! Was coming from outside, directly in front. Attempted to call front desk from room phone 3x but no answer. Called from my cell and someone answered. She said she was in back room and didn't hear the music. I couldn't believe it. Felt like it was loud Club music that lasted 45 min or so. She went outside to tell them to leave. The music, discussions and loud goofing off took another 30 min! Then, I was up for hours. I have never complained about a Marriott (I'm Platinum Elite, but this was beyond ridiculous! After complaining loudly, they offered only half off my room! Will obviously never stay there again and will report to Marriott. Have video and sound but can't upload here.

Hotel is a little tired in areas but comfortable with spacious rooms. Bathroom although very clean had limescale in places making it feel dirty when it was not. Only decaf coffee in the room and when asked for normal coffee was advised they did not have any. Bar was a friendly area and generally staff were helpful. I would say it is a little over priced.
Response from Property: Dear Claire L, I recognize your time is valuable and appreciate the feedback you have taken the time to provide. Maintaining a clean atmosphere within our guest rooms and common areas is important and I apologize that we did not fulfill that expectation during your visit. The cleanliness issue and not having a variety of coffee in the room have been shared with our housekeeping leaders to ensure this is an isolated incident. My hope is the next time you are in the area, you will give us another chance to provide the guest experience we strive to deliver. Thank you!

Extremely noisy at night, horrible for sleeping. At $300/night was way overpriced. Dated. Employees don’t answer the phone. Asked for a quieter room and I don’t think they even tried to find one. Seemed like a bad Hampton Inn. Will never ever stay here again.
Response from Property: Dear F8814XKdavidm, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Ensuring an exceptional experience for each guest is a top priority, and I sincerely apologize for any shortfall in meeting your expectations. Your feedback has been shared with our team as a valuable training opportunity to reinforce our service protocols and ensure the utmost satisfaction for every guest request. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in your future travels. Kind Regards, Meghan Irwin Operations Manager

Stayed here for one night before a cruise out of Tampa. Excellent and central location in downtown, close to bars and restaurants. Large, clean and comfortable room, large TV and excellent bed quality. Staff were nice and helpful. Pricey though! Would gladly stay here again, hopefully at a better rate!

Stayed here one night prior to a cruise leaving from the Tampa port. We were greeted promptly and allowed to check in early. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Road noise not an issue. The hotel has a small restaurant but seemed pricey, so we explored outside. There are many restaurant choices within a few blocks, easy walking distance. The waterfront park, Riverwalk, and art museum (surprisingly good!) are just across the street which gave us plenty to do for our one-day stay. Room rate was on the high side, but the benefit is that there are attractions and activities literally one block away. 10 minute Uber to the cruise port.

comment on our stay at the Courtyard Downtown, in Tampa Florida. Unfortunately this was a poor stay on many levels, that mostly seemed to reflect on a very poor management system. We arrived on Saturday, shortly after 4:00 pm and were told that our room was not ready. We were told that it would be a few minutes. At this point nothing was done to make us feel better. A glass of wine, or a bottle of water would have gone a long way. After waiting a few minutes we chose to leave the hotel and go across the parking lot to a nice cafe for a light dinner. We received a phone call about an hour later telling us our room was ready. We were in town for a large event at Raymond James Stadium, which explained why the room rates were so high. As your hotel is a valet parking only facility, and you knew that many of your guests would be leaving and returning at approximately the same time staffing should have been appropriate. When we returned from the event there was 1 valet at the hotel. The cars were double parked, flashers on and blocking other traffic. Sunday morning we went down to the Starbucks kiosk for coffee, again not enough staff and utter chaos. This building is on a major downtown road, but when it was built and decorated no effort was made to buffer the street noise in any way. As elite Marriott members we regularly stay

Checked in late to be told we had been moved from residence inn to courtyard. We had booked the hotel 12 months before. Room was ok, large bed, tiny balcony with 2 dirty chairs, large bathroom with toiletries, good shower even if you had to lean towards the wall because of how the shower head had been fixed. We stayed for 3 nights and the room was never cleaned while we were there. Breakfast was ok but plastic cutlery and paper plates and bowls was a definite turnoff. One great thing the hotel has is Ashley on reception, she is the most pleasant and helpful person ever. She answered all our questions and helped us printout our luggage labels for our cruise. Wouldn’t stay here again, never stayed in a Marriot that didn’t have rooms cleaned and doesn’t have proper plates and cutlery,
