Lovely onsen , dinner & breakfast . That’s an opposite river bath. Very convenient.

This hotel is perfect for a relaxing one day stay. It’s right beside a sapphire-blue river in the middle of the mountains. The in-room onsen is more than big enough for two people and they also have communal baths. They also offer a free shuttle to the start of a stretch of the Kumano Kodo if you want to hike the next day.

Great location and the room is huge. It would be good to include a menu/food list for the dinner set.

We have missed the dinner on our first night upon our arrival at 8pm as we are being told that the dinner will be last served by 7pm.

A great alternative to the more popular Yunomine Onsen area. I feel it’s quieter here by the riverside, plus you can dip in the river waters which was nice. The ryokan has its own bus stop by the entrance, the onsen choices were great and the food delicious. I would really recommend this spot

The food and beverages are average for this price. I didn't have enough for dinner. There are few service staff, and they seem to be very busy. The hygiene is average, the elevator is dirty, and the food delivered to the room was opened by the previous guest... 2300 for one night, two nights, the cost performance is really bad.

Very good experience, although the price is not very friendly, the overall feeling is still worth it, the hotel's soup ♨️ is reserved, and you can walk to the world heritage soup of Tangzhifeng. I have been back to Shanghai for a month, but my heart has not returned yet, and I have a lot of stamina 😄

The local hot spring association dug a large outdoor hot spring pool at the entrance of the Kumano River. It was my first time to experience outdoor hot springs and stargazing. You need to pay an additional 150 yen/person hot spring tax when you check out. It is recommended to book the hotel's 900 yen lunch box if you want to hike the Kumano Kodo the next day. It is worth it. The hotel is in a good location, with a bus stop at the door. The next day, because we were in a hurry, the hotel specially arranged a free shuttle bus to take us to the nearby bus stop (normally only at 9 o'clock). Thank you very much.

Very old-fashioned hotel, the door is still opened by a key. The hot spring is great, you can enjoy the outdoor hot spring. Dinner and breakfast are super nice, the service is very comfortable. It drizzled in the morning, sitting by the window to enjoy the tranquility of the mountains. The bus was very crowded in the morning when we left this stop, and the hotel brother quickly drove us to the next stop. There were backpackers who were climbing the mountain, and we squeezed the most crowded bus in the past 20 years to go down the mountain to Hayatama Taisha.

Very nice hotel, the food is also very good! (ps: everything is very delicate, and they are served one by one. Every time we thought we had finished eating, they came up with a small soup and snacks, and we ended up eating too much) The tatami is also very comfortable. Although we didn't go to the door to dig hot springs, we tried all the big and small pits. The deep and small water is hotter, and the large and shallow water is colder. Ps: Kumano Kodo is so beautiful!
