Sansuikan Kawayu Midoriya

We stayed for two nights. The environment was very good, with greenery all around outside the window. The buffets in the morning and evening were very good. The hot springs were also great, relieving fatigue from a day of hiking. The service was also very good. For 550 yen, you could reserve a rice ball bento as a hiking meal, which tasted OK. The hotel can reserve a free shuttle bus to Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine and Hoshinmon, which was very convenient.

The facilities are a bit old but clean. The hot springs are very refreshing and the buffet is also good. After getting the stamp at Tangfeng Prince, I missed the bus to Chuan Tang and took another bus and walked 1.2 kilometers.

The room was very good, large, clean and had a great view. The biscuits and tea provided in the room were good and the hot spring was interesting. The front desk girl was enthusiastic and spoke fluent English. The concierge also helped with the luggage.

A hotel that exceeds expectations, with sufficient facilities, a good environment, and the outdoor hot spring is great! ! !

The front desk staff are relatively professional. The area is relatively deserted at night, and the small restaurant next door has nothing to order. The hot springs by the river are quite unique and well managed. The breakfast at the hotel was okay. Although it didn't have any outstanding items, it was definitely filling.

Kawayu Onsen is a small town. Shansuikan is the largest hotel, right by the river, with indoor and open-air hot springs. The open-air hot spring looks at the river, surrounded by valleys, and has beautiful scenery. During this trip, I was going to walk the Kumano Kodo with my friends, so I stayed here for the first night. Although the hotel facilities are old, they are kept clean and the staff are very friendly. Special thanks to Mr. Honda at the front desk, who spent a lot of time calling us and solving our luggage transportation problem. It was really a huge relief. I am grateful and I also left a very good impression on the hotel.

The room is quite large, and the windows face the forest and stream. Especially when you wake up in the morning and the mountains are shrouded in mist, it is so beautiful. The hot spring is very good. Both men and women can take a mixed bath. When it gets hot, you can jump into the stream next to it to cool down. It’s a great experience.

The environment is very good, the riverside hot springs are very comfortable, the staff are very nice, and they even help drive to Hongu Taisha Shrine. It is very convenient to walk to the nearby bus stop. The only thing you need to pay attention to is that the surrounding restaurants close very early in the evening.

Our family of 5 stayed in a large room! It was great to be able to take a hot spring bath overlooking the river in our room! The staff was very nice and the futons were laid out neatly, so I was satisfied!
