We had a wonderful stay at The Sun View Motel. It is in the wonderful town of Tannersville. It is very close to Hunter Mountain so it was convenient for us for we were on a skiing vacation there. Lily the woman who runs The Sun View was so sweet and kind to us. We got extra towels right away and had everything we needed. The only thing was that there were lights outside our window. We used our clothing to cover up the blinds and it worked well. The beds were very comfortable and there is a great coffee house five minutes down the road for a delicious breakfast. And we had dinner right across the street at a fabulous restaurant called Jessies. I would stay there again!

The room was perfect for my son and I to share. It was simple, yet had everything we need. Loved having a microwave and refrigerator too. Would have been fine to have a bathroom door that locked, more/better covering on the bathroom window and also the ability to turn off the outside lights to darken the room more.

Excellent deal - looks like newly renovated. Perfect if you are looking for a place stay while skiing. Don’t let the outside deceive you. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

Difficult to sleep and 3 bright LED lights were shining through a large double window. Blackout curtains are a must is room #18. Even people sleeping on the other side of the room could not sleep due to the very bright light outside the window. Had to add a blanket to the window to block some of the light. Also very minimal office hours.

The property is rather old and tired. Asked for a hair dryer and it was never delivered. The rooms are clean and neat but the outside walk way/patio area had loose tiles and cement stairs were cracking. A true hazard.

Unexpectedly wonderful hotel in northern Catskills. Owner was very friendly at check in, gave me an upgrade. Room was large, clean, renovated bathroom, nice toiletries, mini-frog with working freezer. Attractive grounds with lots of Adirondack chairs and hammocks overlooking a beautiful Mountain View. Walking g distance from eateries. Recommend without reservation
