Hotels in Dayuan District, Taoyuan

The location is quite a distance from Taoyuan HSR Station, about 850m walk. Nothing much nearby, just a Mc Donalds for grabbing a meal. The soundproofing is not so good. Should have taken the free ear plugs at the lobby. The shared bathroom is clean but there were some issues with locking the door. But the good thing is they provide some snacks (bread, tea and coffee) from 11pm onwards. Another plus point is they provide free airport drop-off at every 30 mins interval, applicable daily except Fri and Sat. You can request for it during check-in.

The soundproofing is excellent, making it very quiet, which is a blessing for light sleepers. They also provide complimentary water, biscuits, desserts, coffee, and tea. Surprisingly, there's even popcorn and instant noodles! As soon as you enter, you can feel how thoughtful the hotel is. It's also conveniently located, just a seven-minute walk from the MRT station. I highly recommend this place; I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Taoyuan.

I had stayed here before and returned again mainly due to the free airport transfer (only on weekdays and only until 2026/1/29) and convenience of location (just opp 7-11 and Poya, very short walk to PX mart grocery store). Important advice: if you are travelling with anything bigger than a cabin baggage, it is better to get their shared bathroom rooms, as I have stayed in their attached bathroom single room and it is a tight fit for luggage bigger than a cabin. Attached bathroom rooms are also in their old wing where I feel the lighting is quite dim and slightly more dated in the amenities. Photo here is for a shared bathroom single, in the new wing which feels newer. Shared bathroom is very clean, with both dry and wet showering area so you don’t have to worry about wetting your clothes.

I chose this hotel near the airport for my last night to catch an early flight. The room was clean and well-decorated, and they even had self-service check-in and check-out. However, I have to say the soundproofing is really, really bad; I could still hear a lot of noise even with the earplugs they provided. Also, the women's restroom is on the third floor, which isn't very convenient if you're not staying on that floor.

Overall, the service by the hotel staff was professional and they responded fast to our requests. For example, when I called and asked for a change of towel, under two minutes, the staff delivering the new towel pressed the door bell and she also apologised for the inconvenience. I was shocked by her speed, as if she was living in the room near me. The food was also one of the highlights. They have both international and local cuisine and the food and coffee was very delicious! The only inconvenience was the location as it is quite far from HSR stations and the free shuttle ended at 4.30pm. Hope CP Hotel can consider extending the free shuttle to 9pm.

I arrived late and left early, the hotel was clean and had everything you needed for an overnight transit stay. The man at reception could have been a bit friendlier though. Also there was a very loud running water sound that lasted all night, I think either the plumbing or AC upstairs was making a strange noise. But after a while I didn’t notice the noise. The hotel helped me book a taxi back to the airport which was 200 TWD. It’s very close to the airport, it took 3 minutes by car in the morning. I didn’t try the breakfast.

I stayed for less than 10 hours during a layover. The front desk staff were well-trained and check-in was quick. The room was also very spacious. There's an airport shuttle, but the timing didn't work out for me, so I didn't get to use it.

I stayed at a backpacker-style guesthouse this time. Overall, the basic amenities provided were quite comprehensive, including towels, toothbrushes, shower gel, and shampoo, which is convenient for travelers as they don't need to bring too many toiletries. The basic cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was acceptable, and the price was reasonable for a backpacker hostel. However, after checking in, there were a few areas I felt could be improved. Firstly, the scent of the shower gel and shampoo was quite unique, leaning towards common Vietnamese fragrances. While not necessarily bad, ********* travelers might find it unfamiliar, and acceptance could vary from person to person. Secondly, the kitchen area seemed to be under renovation; the original table was gone, and some cabinet doors had fallen off, making the overall environment appear a bit messy. If guests wanted to cook or spend a long time in the common area, their experience might be affected. Additionally, the air conditioning in the lobby wasn't on at the time, and we had to find the remote control to turn it on ourselves. As a result, the air felt a bit stuffy and hot when first entering the indoor area, which could slightly impact comfort, especially on warmer days. On a positive note, the guesthouse staff were incredibly enthusiastic and friendly. They proactively assisted with check-in and introduced the environment, and were willing to help resolve any issues, making us feel welcomed and a sense of human touch, which significantly enhanced the overall stay. Overall, this guesthouse is suitable for budget travelers or those on short stays, as basic needs are met. If they can further improve the maintenance of common areas and facilities in the future, I believe the overall quality of the stay would be even better.

I initially went to the wrong place, and the staff humorously told me to 'retreat quickly.' They were very thoughtful, explaining how to open the door and what amenities and snacks were available. The room size was decent, not too small, and had a subtle, pleasant scent upon entering, which was a big plus for me. The cleanliness of the bathroom was excellent (I hope they can maintain this!). I could hear airplanes from my room (not sure if this applies to all rooms), but the sound wasn't too loud and was within my acceptable range (everyone's tolerance is different, though). If I ever visit Taoyuan again, I'd likely choose to stay here.

Had such a great time, we extended our stay for another night! Both the adults and kids loved it. The pool was a hit, and the breakfast was delicious – even though we had to pay for the kids, they still thoroughly enjoyed it. The airport transfer driver was also very nice.
