Reviews of Cliveden House - an Iconic Luxury Hotel

This hotel looks beautiful from outside with a lovely ground and impressive entrance, but however, I found the room & common area not so impressive  they need to give it a face lift to deserve the room rate. Especially with a high bathtub it’s quite dangerous as it’s slippery when you step into it to have a shower, even with the rubber mat on it , luckily I brought along my rubber slipper, which I can use to have a shower to prevent from slipping . Our room included breakfast, buffet table selection of food were poor, and the quality of food was not great even with basic smoke salmon it looks stale & the cooked breakfast was ok not impressive. The front desk reception staff were not helpful with problem . But the manager at the front desk was very helpful when we checked out , after hearing our comments about the problem he took note said he’ll look into the problem & told us to contact him when decide to stay with them next time. I do appreciate his helpfulness & trying to make the best of the situation, Cliveden Hotel should treasure him as the hotel manager.

It is a very nice hotel and the area is very big. The surrounding is very beautiful. Good for an escape from the city. But one thing to say is that there is no air-condition. I went there in late August. It is prefect. But in July, I am afraid that it is hot inside the room.

The grandeur of Cliveden is beyond description. Grounds are immaculate n the walk by the river is highly recommended!
