We have just returned from a two-week holiday at the H10 Tindaya, Costa Calma in Fuerteventura. We went all-inclusive with the “Privilege” option and managed to get the same room (427) as last year, and again what an excellent hotel this is, with some improvements since last time. The recently built poolside pool-side bar with hot food served at lunch time has been well worth the investment by H10. The food is cooked in front of you, occasionally there are BBQ meats available. With all the usual expectations of choice, mixed salads, fruit, fries, Canarian potatoes, pizza, sausage, burgers, chicken etc. eating outside with the sea view is a memory not easily forgotten. Alternatively, you can have lunch in the main dining area, including outside tables where there is far more choice available and a vast range of desert options. Drinks, both soft and alcoholic, including various wines are on hand for you to help yourselves with little queuing time. My only issue with the food in general was that on some occasions, dishes that had once been piping hot do cool down and can be too cold for my pallet. There is a microwave in the main buffet area should you need to use it however. Going with the privilege option opens up two additional Al a Carte restaurants, Route 66 and Alisios. Route 66 is based on an American theme and whilst the room is filled with an interesting décor, including two very nice motorbikes, we thought the food in the main buffet area to be superior and with far more choice. It is nice to sit down at a table and be served, but we were slightly let down by this experience and so only used Route 66 on the one occasion. It may be more suited to young children who seem to crave for burgers and fries which I assume would have been tasty. The second Al a Cart option, Alisios offers an environment that is much quieter than the main buffet area. The tables are well spaced with table cloths, there is a good ambiance like if you were going out for a meal to a nice restaurant. The food is very good and we have no complaints here. The staff were excellent and the food was served quickly. (Thank you Sarah and Barbara) We ate in the Alisios restaurant about eight times for our evening meals, but it is nice to have a change occasionally and so we used the main buffet where again there is far more choice available. The drinks are all branded top quality, excellent cocktails and various wines, so being all inclusive we could allow ourselves to sample the many varieties. The staff work incredibly hard behind the bars and service is polite with a smile and with little, if any waiting time. We had a sea view room that was spacious, well fitted out, bath/shower. Cleaners came every day to replace towels and re-stock the toiletries. No need to bring shower gels or hand wash, conditioner etc. It was all there. The mini-bar was topped up each day with quality drinks and bottled water. The air conditioner worked perfectly and the beds were comfortable

As I write we are currently in resort on our 3rd visit to this hotel after 2 fantastic stays last year and 2020. This time it’s a bit meh! Long queues at bars not enough bar staff to serve. Coffee used to be great now it’s awful. The barman in the pool bar doesn’t seem to care. No longer have proper cups to sit and drink coffee from just horrible paper ones. Lack of cleared tables at dinner. Seems to be less choice for dinner. One pool cleared for privilege guests of which there were 4 around the pool. Such a waste of space. The whole experience just seems to have gone downhill since September 2023. Such a shame as this used to be really nice hotel. Not sure if we will return.

The hotel was in a great location near to a beach. We booked to superior double rooms with sea views. Rooms were not near each other - one was great looking over the pool and sea view. Large room. Other room was on ground floor - saw a bit of sea in distance but mainly looking out at outside disco area with large roof blocking any view. Reception agreed to move the ground floor room the next day - room was better and had a good view as well. If you can, probably better not to get ground floor room as everyone walking past the area where you would sit. We had read so many reviews about the tables not being cleared at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We felt sorry for the waiters/waitresses as they were working very hard but not enough of them to clear the tables. Many a time you had to wait for a table to be cleared to then sit down. Think the hotel needs more people to clear and set the table at the hotel. Also does not look good when there are 4 people as you walk in to check your room number, as not everyone on all inclusive, when it would be better having more clearing and setting tables which would be more useful. There is an app so you can book a time for your meal in main restaurant but never worked. We didn’t go to route 66 for a meal - as reception should have booked it - asked them whilst at reception as app not working - part of all inclusive for one night if staying more than 6 nights. Arrived to use it and was embarrassed to be told it was not booked so no idea what food was like. Complained to reception- but only one more night there so couldn’t get in even though it didn’t looked busy. Make sure you check next day that they have definitely booked it. Food in main restaurant was buffet style with breakfast having a lot of choice for all diets. Evening meal was a bit repetitive but food was nice especially if you like fish. Good to have the hotel app if family want to do activities during the day especially if you are English as most entertainment staff spoke to mainly Italians. We did aqua aerobics which was good - pool cold but ok to get in. The do a lot of activities if you are interested. Pool area was lovely - two main pools, with one having small slides for children and plenty of sun beds. Never a problem getting a sun bed and there was 4 of us. There is another pool but this is only for privilege guests but other two pools were fine. There is a pool bar which has hot food at lunch - mainly burgers, new potatoes but was ok. Can do a toastie as well if you want. The actual bar always had queues - need more staff serving for drinks. You can get water from a machine near the pool bar which you could get yourself - probably better if they also had a machine where you could self serve soft drinks like fanta etc. Two minutes to walk down to the beach which was lovely white sand and easy to get into the sea. There are sun beds but these are not part of hotel so cost €5 for one bed without umbrella or 2 beds and umbrella €15. We went

Have just returned from this hotel after a 7 night stay. Positives: view of beach and easy close access to beach from hotel. Coffee bar has very good coffees. What could be changed are the queues. For drinks in pool bar and main hotel bar you often waited 20 minutes to be served a drink. Often 20 people waiting for drinks. Usually as one member of staff was on duty. There is not enough staff in bars and restaurants to give a good service to guests. Often get one half of your plate of food then have to wait in line for next bit by which time food cold. The staff work really hard but can't keep up as there aren't enough of them. In the restaurant often can't get a clean table as not enough staff clearing them. The level of staff needs to be address consequently it was not a relaxing holiday. If you are looking for good service , where you can relax this hotel wouldn't suit you it is also very very busy. Food -buffet very mediocre and often lukewarm by time sat down to eat it. Need to go early to get a clean table straight away. Our bedroom large and basic but need in need of refurbishment. Squashed mosquitoes on walls and lamp shades not cleaned from previous guests. There are a few small shops a walk away from the hotel but nothing much in the area and very little to do in costa calma. On all inclusive you still have to pay for a room safe, one change of beach towel allowed after that have to pay 2 euro and set days to change towels. Indoor pool spasauna extra too. 15 euro for 2 hours. Sadly this was not a relaxing holiday for us - we will not be returning.

We just came back from our vacation. We spent seven nights at that great place with our 2-year-old daughter. Although the hotel's location may not be the best, it's not the worst either. The private beach was great, and the room was spacious enough. The sand and water were also great. The pools were clean and warm. Two of them were heated, and one had slides but was not heated. The temperature of the unheated pool was still acceptable. The service and staff were great, and the hotel was clean and well-presented. The food presentation was great. The main meals were perhaps a bit repetitive, but all the other sides and fresh juices were wonderful. Desserts—I think this was an area the hotel could improve because the variety and amount were poor. A great addition was the coffee shop, unfortunately only open from 1:00 p.m. American restaurant not even worth to go, food was same like in main restaurant... long time to get food. The bars were okay, but sometimes there were queues during peak times. The exclusive zone—I don't think it's worth it unless you are older and looking for peaceful places during the day. Overall, it's a really good hotel. I would definitely come back at some point.

● Cockroaches in the main restaurant, communal areas and hotel corridors. During the whole week we saw about half a dozen. Enough to put us off visiting a H10 hotel again. ● The queues for the bar and pool bar were very often long ● Long wait (almost 3 hours) on arrival for the room to be ready (beware if you are on an early flight, it's standard practice at the hotel that the rooms are not ready until 3pm)

Very good 4.5* AI resort with many included extras included as standard. This was our 7th visit to H10 Tindaya and 10th to Fuerteventura in 10 years. Room: We stayed in a Privilege Superior Sea View Junior Suite on an all-inclusive basis and are members of the Club H10 loyalty club at Class and Grand Class level - definitely join this programme free as you accrue points to spend as cash against you next visit etc no matter who you book with. Taxi: We pre-booked a private transfer with taxi costa calma dot com and paid the driver via credit card for €80 each way, the driver was waiting on arrival in the terminal with our name on a plaque, the very large clean new and fast people carrier took us direct to the hotel in 40 minutes on the motorway, no tolls. Recommend this option. Really Don't both waiting for you coach, other passengers and all the other hotel stops along the way (takes 1.5 hours plus the wait to leave airport) , especially after a 4 hour flight plus the overall home to hotel duration! Staff & Faculties: The permanent staff, spa facilities (steam room [best ever!] , sauna, aqua circuits, gym, indoor pool, treatment rooms, showers) kids club, daytime sports, professional evening shows, a la carte restaurant food, beach, sea - are all excellent. Gym is free. Spa is free if privilege. You need to book your spa access 1 day before in person. Spa (only) closed Sunday & Monday. Drinks: The privilege food and especially the rioja red and DOCa rose wines, bottled beers and bottled non-alcoholic lager, bottled juices and milk for the children... plus the included frexinet vintage 2019 cava at breakfast - are fantastic. Food: We loved the Alisios a la carte for breakfast daily and Route 66 USA diner and Alisios for a la carte dinner. The food quality and care by the Chef's is / are outstanding. Well done Cristina, Maria, Vanessa, Ronak, Abdel and Mo' ;) (Route 66 only closed Monday & Tuesday) The lunch buffet 1-3pm in Benticuria, was dissipating. On several occasions I tried to get fresh fish & meat cooked to our preferred style but the staff wanted us to eat that on the hot plates which had dried out. Also we tried to order fresh pasta for the children, i.e. spaghetti and seafood (i.e. mussels) but were only given plain spaghetti. We asked for mussels or any seafood to be cooked, on 2 days, it was available and labelled on the show cooking counter and the cook said no! The hotel and staff went to a huge effort for the annual bank holiday (canary islands day) on 30 May to include a: show cooking BBQ, Canarian wine tasting, Pool foam music party and inflatable slides, fabulous evening acrobatic Circus and magic live show etc! Well done Rebekah, Jacky, Fernando & Daisy! :) Our daughter had a special evening in route 66 and Daisy the mascot and the guest relations evening manager, Chris, came to visit her with a surprise selection of gifts and birthday cake! Fantastic. This was the main reason for our visit.
