Acacia Lake View Motel Reviews

Fantastic location right in front of Lake Taupo and ＜5 min drive from nearby eateries and supermarket. Apartment has everything you need except for pots / pans (despite the kitchenette having an electric stove top) and the room took quite awhile to warm up.

Great location

The front desk service is very friendly. The room and living room are large, the kitchen facilities are complete, parking is convenient, and you can see Lake Taupo outside the window. The scenery is excellent. It is a 15-minute drive from Huka Falls.

The room is relatively new and the location is quite good, right by the lake, with plenty of parking spaces and many restaurants around.

High cost performance, Lake Taopu is at the doorstep, and there are many delicious foods nearby

Lovely clean and well maintained unit. bathroom was spacious with extra towels, tissues etc. A must when more than one lady in the group. reasonably priced and there was a view of the lake. a very humorous Manageress made our day. I would recommend this place to stay.

The motel is in easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. Just across the road from the lovely Lake Taupo with great sunsets. Our room was very clean and quite spacious for a studio. Easy parking right outside. Comfortable bed with lovely sheets. Very good shower and bathroom. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

This motel ticks most if not all boxes. We are a family of 4 and had a room upstairs in the Acacia Wing. It was a good size for us and it felt clean and fresh. Just near our room was an outdoor terrace area with 3 tables with bench seats and umbrellas. Perfect for having breakfast, sunset drinks and looking out over the lake which is just across the road. The bathroom was spacious and the kitchenette perfect for preparing simple meals. The walk to town was about 5 minutes so the location is perfect. There is a laundry (cleanest motel laundry I've ever seen!) and you can grab a packet of washing powder from reception. I highly recommend this motel.

Arrived in Taupō on Hwy5. Make sure to stop and viewing spot on entry to town with a wonderful panoramic view. The Acacia was easy to find on the road running along the lake edge. We were met in reception by Christine who made us most welcome and engaged in easy conversation. She was most accomodating & upgraded us to room 11 at the front of house with direct views of the lake across the road. Wonderful and very generous. The room was huge by any standard with a kitchenette and private balcony. This really made our stay that much better. There is a Hole in One golf competition opposite the hotel. Shots are to a floating target green in the lake 100m with a $10,000 prize for a hole in one. Had to try that! Thank you Christine you made our stay perfect.

Nice place to stay, has everything u need. Close to the town center, and restaurants Good price Spa bath was great so my wife tells me, parking outside your room, good tv channels Bed was ok but u always miss your own

Fabulous room, spacious and modern with an eye catching view over Lake Taupō. The location is fantastic just around the corner from the main shopping area close to everything you need. The room is large and has modern interiors including a well set up bathroom. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. All the staff are great and this room was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed watching all the visitors attempt the Hole in One golf game across the road.. gave us a good laugh. You can’t fault this room which faces the water upstairs… just excellent. Parking is easy and free.

What an awesome place right across the road from the lake. We were well cared for and we were offered to the last motel room that was only used for two nights stay . We were offered one nights as we were visiting a family member in hospital. Very caring people running this place. The room was spacious and comfortable after a long drive. What a great space and great people. Thanks for looking after us.

A great stay, Taupo is a lovely town, the Acacia was in a great position, very close to the town for shops, restaurants and bars. The lake literally right across the road, with lovely views. We had a nice room, comfortable bed, all modern and everything was exceptionally clean. A fabulous motel. Staff friendly, but must give Linda a mention from reception who was lovely, and made us feel very welcome, pointed us in the right direction for a few things. Nice lady. All in all a great stay, would definitely recommend..
