It's a great hotel. It's not like a motel. The lake view room is beautiful. Unfortunately, I only booked it for two nights. I look forward to booking a lake view room like this next time I bring my daughter and children together. You can go out to swim and the lake outside the room window. There is a hot water bath, which is great, and the owner is Chinese.

Stayed here and could not wait to leave. Never had an experience like it before with any accommodation. Place is not clean at all, stains on the sheets and hairs. Staff are useless. We were polite and showed pictures. They said we must have done it. Hardly, when we had checked in 5 mins prior.

I made a reservation in Jun'24 for a visit in Dec'24 so I could compete in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship race. Two months after I made the reservation, I received an email from the hotel indicating they had given the room to someone else, and that the hotel was otherwise full. I was incredibly confused by this explanation and lack of professionalism. I asked for clarification but did not receive any additional information as to how this could happen. I highly recommend finding a different accommodation as this hotel is not trustworthy and lacks professionalism.

Just a bad place Spa's jets are just awful and noisy Beds are not comfortable Bed lamp can burn your child's fingers Fridge is broken Condensation on everywhere on the property windows And so on And what we here back is sorry for any inconvenience

This is my favourite place to book in Taupo. The view is nothing short of magnificent and breathtaking as you are right on the waters edge. The bed is so comfy with high quality linen. The spa in the room is a godsend after a long day or enjoy the pool outside. Love this place!

My wife and I decided to stay our last 2 nights in New Zealand at The Clearwater Motel Lodge in Taupo. We are so glad we did. Fantastic accommodations and beautiful lake front room. Everything you could need was provided. Including a Beautiful Sunset.

Really nice stay. The room came with a massive hot tub in the room which was really nice. We had the upstairs corner room so had a great view over the lake, especially because we had the corner room with extra windows. We could hear the waves splash at night which was quite calming. The bathroom was a bit old, but otherwise clean. An enjoyable stay

We booked a Partial Lake view 2 rooms over $330 for 1 night. 1 double bed+2 single beds for 1 person and a toddler. They called 6pm to ask when to check in and who do we bring, they said $30 extra for 1 more person. Staff threatend there are CCTVs in the corridors, they would take actions if we bring more people in when checked in. Room Phone rang randomly at night time. Very basic furnitures, short narrow shower, only can see a slice of lake view on the left corner. Very unpleasant stay as we felt being blackmailed and spyed on. They cancelled the reservation booking confirmation order on Bookings.com after we stayed, so we are not allowed to write our reviews.Definitely won't stay again and not worth the money!

Privacy not great, noisy, had to request basic things like toilet paper, cold shower on last day of stay, was not provided with milk. While the view was excellent it was spoiled by the fact we had to keep the curtain closed to maintain privacy.
