With such a mixed amount of reviews I was worried about staying at this hotel however once we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is small which I prefer, our room was spacious, clean and had what we needed. WiFi worked in room also which was a bonus for evenings when we wanted to watch movies on iPad and chill out Pool was decent size - however no floats allowed or ball. Tony kids pool was freezing! So my kids would jump in that then in main pool to make it feel warm!! I mean it’s February so the pool wasn’t going to be as warm as summertime but the weather was absolutely wonderful and cooling off in a cool pool was fine and actually didn’t stop people using it or the kids! We also visited the waterpark which is easily accessible by coming out of the hotel and taking the lift down. It’s a couple minutes walk and included with the hotel. Food and drink/ice-cream at the waterpark is also reasonable. Or you can pop out and return as many times as you like if you don’t want to spend money! We took our own water but did have food etc - usually stuff pizza, chips/nuggets etc The water was cold!! Again being the time of year and it’s salt water. Slides are good fun and we visited a couple times The evening entertainment is also down between all the hotels, plus there is a arcades, mini golf and trampolines My 7 year old enjoyed going down after dinner for an hour or 2 The shows we managed 1 and it was usual holiday stuff dancers / kids mini disco This place is good for families with young kids. Teenagers may get bored as no much aimed for them The resort in all felt safe and friendly The beach is down the end - it’s black sand. We walked down one morning before the waterpark. Looked wavy so wasn’t for us! We ate out on the last night again by the beachfront are some restaurants offering tapas/pizza which was decent and not too expensive If you like to get out an about there is a bus stop just up road which you can take and go to porta rico We took a taxi to Playa Morgan for the day which I highly recommend. Beautiful beach and on Fridays they have a market some lovely bits avail to buy Ok so back to hotel - a lot complaining about food and drinks - we never had an issue but aren’t fussy! Always food to eat and was always tasty. Some of the stuff looked a bit unusual - not our normal palate but we gave it a go and was always pleasantly surprised at how nice the food was.

States r in this hotel quite good price but the rooms are not as in paint on the pictures! Very run down room so is everything in the hotel as in facility wise. Stuff in the restaurant are very friendly so are the cleaners. Food is ok but it would be good to do more on varieties rather then lock and fish almost everyday. Lovely water park though

We thought it was great! Well priced, clean, friendly staff. Lots to do for kids. Yes it’s a little dated but for the price we felt it was good value for money. The food was standard all inclusive. Always a bit of choice, always refreshed, lots of fruit..loved the Canarian potatoes. As for the drain smells etc anyone who has lived in countries that do plumbing differently to Northern Europe- this is just standard. No u-bends= smells. This isn’t specific to this hotel. My only changes would be- update bathroom suites, extra comfortable pillows. One isn’t sufficient for an adult especially with wooden headboards and painting the walls yellow dates the room- paint it white. Tv should be connected to WiFi so we can stream our own Netflix etc when relaxing. The pool was great. The water park was fab although yes it can nip your back on certain slides. Just sit up. It’s great value for the money. The staff were efficient and friendly. Yes you have to pay extra for mini golf etc but yet to find a resort where this isn’t the case and if it was you would pay triple the price for the hotel. We loved our break.

Well I promised myself I would post lots of photos when I got back as before we came we couldn't find that much info on the LIVVO Costa Hotel.... we found lots on the other two hotels in the complex, Valle and Lago but not for Costa. The reviews/ info we did find were not always complimentary and we were concerned we had made a mistake. We discussed cancelling a few times but I am so glad we didn't! We had an amazing Easter holiday here. This is my review! Where do I start?!! We had a thoroughly lovely stay at LIVVO Costa Taurito and after some of the reviews we read prior to coming, I nearly cancelled. I am so glad we didn't! We arrived at around 7pm. Check in was quick, friendly and helpful. We found that the staff here can't do enough for you. They gave us all deluxe garden rooms on the bottom floor as my mum has mobility issues so we were all next to each other. 3 rooms all in a row. Except for my sister in law who added on to the holiday at a later date. She had a beautiful double room but was on the second floor and was quite a while away from us and just before we came she broke her foot and was in a boot. She mentioned this to reception and they moved her next to us the following day, no problems. We noticed that there are quite a few different room types at the Costa Taurito all ranging in size and appearance. We were lucky to get 4 Beautiful rooms - they were massive and spotlessly clean. Some reviews describe the rooms as "old" and "dated" - now whilst I agree that they aren't the most modernly decorated rooms I've ever had on holidays, to call them old and dated implies that they need refreshing / are run down, and this isn't the case - they are kept fantastically well maintained and in perfect condition. Well the ones we had were anyway. Everything was clean and freshly painted. Maybe "old fashioned / or traditionally decorated" would be better descriptions? Anyway, I've uploaded photos and videos, so you decide! We loved our rooms. I had room 120 and I'm really going to miss that gorgeous little garden apartment. The bathrooms are lovely with powerful showers. Complimentary toiletries and hairdryers are available. The complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the room is actually fantastic & they refill it regularly, smells fantastic and great for a freshen up after the flight! The hair dryers are powerful and modern and dried my hair in seconds! After we checked in, we went straight in to dinner, which I was the most apprehensive about based on previous reviews. But phew, there was nothing to worry about! It was probably a smaller selection of food than we are used to on all inclusive, but it's only a small hotel. Everything there was, was freshly cooked and nicely presented. Drinks were typical all inclusive but were some of the best range we have ever had on all inclusive. The larger on tap is Amstel and the soft drinks are branded Pepsi, Pepsi Max and 7up as well as Shwepps Lemon and Orange. I

I read reviews after I'd booked, and I did try and change the hotel, but I was too late. The hotel itself is nice, clean, and saff are friendly. The food is not great you will find something but not a lot, breakfast the cheese and ham toastys are good, there is food at the pool side bar but you need to ask for it. You're better to have lunch there than go into the restaurant. Main meal the potatoes of any kind are good and the veg, that's about all I can say and if you're having chicken make sure it's cooked properly twice my son had it parts raw The water park is really good and someone said that if you pay an extra 7€ you can get all-inclusive, including the waterpark. Lots of shops and stuff for the kids to do mini golf was good and bowling later on. The beach was nice with shops and restaurants not expensive and the food was good. At the end of the day a holiday is what you make it and the weather is gorgeous

This is not a 4 star hotel. The food is very poor quality. You will see practically the same food every day when you visit the buffet. We had trouble finding something that was half enjoyable. The hotel is not all-inclusive either. You have to pay for sunbed towels which cost 10 euros each. The spa which is advertised as included at the hotel is in fact NOT included (25€ per couple). Same applies for other "included" services; Tennis, Squash, Pool Table, Basketball... The only sport which is included is table tennis. We asked for the rackets which were all beaten up and the balls were all cracked, rendering the whole activity pointless. The water park IS in fact included at the hotel, but there are no all inclusive drinks inside... You practically have to pay for everything! The pool at the hotel is small and you aren't allowed to play any ball games or use an inflatable bed either... There are a few really nice, friendly staff by the pool bar, but we did have a very rude lady at reception.

The website we used to book, on the beach, stated it was adult only between November and May, so was surprised when there were kids there. Nothing against kids, we just prefer adult only hotels. The location was nice, and a beach only a short walk away. Taxis were expensive to nearest towns, although buses were very cheap and regular. The food wasn’t the greatest, although I wasn’t expecting much for the price we paid. The hotel was clean, and a bottle of Prosecco was left in the room for my partners birthday, which I thought was lovely. Overall, I don’t feel this hotel is the worth 4* but we had a lovely holiday here.

Other reviews mention the lack of cleanliness of the rooms , ours is spotless , cleaned everyday fresh towels cleaned bathroom so no complaints on that subject. The website is misleading as the waterpark and entertainment plaza are not on site but only a 2 minute walk with a lift if mobility is an issue again no complaints on this. Pool area is crowded but again kept clean . The breakfast is just about ok hot and cold choices cereals yoghurt fruit etc but the lunch and dinner offerings are terrible there is fresh salad which is ok but they lack the cold meat selection which is at breakfast to add to the salad , chips and pizza are ever present along with pasta and rice which are barely warm and tasteless last night there was chicken done on the griddle but the cuts were an insult the chef cooking them looked embarresed to be offering them up as they were the off cuts from the underside of the chicken which is normally thrown away. Staff have been ok throughout , we have enjoyed our break but have had to eat out alot more than planned Please improve your menu with choice and quality some small changes would vastly improve customer experience

Terrible allinclusive-drinks, very few food options and incredibly boring and non-tasty dinner. Drinks taste like chlorine, also the coffee and sodas. The room was very outdated and worn out. Felt dirty and old. Many of the things that is shown on their homepage about the hotel, isn't even at the actual hotel! You have to walk to other hotels in the area if you want to use the gym, or you want a drink in the night bar. I am very disappointed and will never return to this hotel again.
