6.4/10The stay was a decent and okay experience overall. Though I enjoyed it, I would like to remind the staffs at the hotel to ensure the cleanliness of the room’s toilet to be the highest concern. I could see dirty dust and ashes of a cigarette in the sink and the smell was definitely there. Also, the bed sheet stink. I could smell the likeliness of a body odour on the bed which was totally very unpleasant. Please be reminded that the hotel is located at the city centre, so the noise would probably become another concern, you could hear sirens, honks, shouts from the streets etc. On the bright side, everything is just within walking distant, even 24H restaurants. I wasn’t looking for the best experience like I would usually do when I go travelling as I was only staying for a night due to an urgent business. I booked at the last minute just for a transit, so I cannot say I did not enjoy the experience, it was better than staying out in the streets. Heritage hotel provides cheaper option too, so everyone can save up a little. Anyway, I can recommend you to stay here, but of course, like anywhere else in the world, you could find better option with similar price or cheaper, better experience, get you fully satisfied and all, but that’s probably unlikely in Tawau during an urgent time. So, 6.5/10 from me.
