Best Three Star Hotels in Tawau

Stay in Deluxe room, spacious, ample solid wood furnishing, bed, sliding wooden door curtain gave a antique warm feel, bathtub was a treat, many newer hotel wouldn't have bathtub for RM150 per night, marble bathroom floor and sinktop, looks wee b it aged but functions well. Personally for environmental friendliness, it is better to maintain quality aged furnishing in hotel rather than continuously dismantling older furnishing to change to new ones which likely to be of less quality, like no longer solid wood or marble. Lobby and breakfast area also have marble floor, lavish chandelier, wood frame walls. Breakfast though limited choice was quite tasty. Just one suggestion: please provide milk for coffee rather than just using creamer pack.

Bedding was very nice and comfortable, the only issue was, they dont have enough towels to replace on time.. They said it will only be available at 7.30pm..so my suggestion is, in the future, not to put your used towel to be replaced, or inform the housekeeping or the reception, not to take your towels away, until they have the new ones to replace.

Location is good, nearby many restaurants, hotel a bit old, many things are old but i think most of the hotels there are old. My room's shower tap was broken, it was just one night stay so didn't bother to ask for change of room.

Really enjoy . I like the ciew but really dissapointed when the staff forget tokeyin in system mke us hard to open the door.

Booked a double room with king bed.. size of room is decent, but the toilet is rather small.. however, the stay is satisfactory, daily housekeeping and replenish of towels and amenities. Hot shower and air conditioning, tv with few channels, hair dryer, iron and kettle all in working condition.. recommended.

I stayed for one night in the standard room. Surprisingly good in such a small budget hotel. Very clean and very comfortable, standard room facilities, in the safe in the room they even provide you with toothbrushes, combs and disposable slippers. (These are available in rooms only 4 stars and more than 4 stars now)...you can find many small restaurants (seafood) opposite the hotel. PS: The hotel front desk and the hotel backstage CCTV can be seen on room TV. They'll also deliver FOC coconut rice to your room in the morning.

LA hotel used to be one of the best hotels in Tawau, but not now. The facilities and services of other new hotels are much better than LA hotel now. Those new hotels may not have breakfast in their packages but the hotel rate is reasonable. LA hotel's breakfast quality has lots of room to improve.

Hotel: The check in process was a mess. They wanted deposits when checking in that was not listed when we booked the hotel. No one to help us with luggage to our rooms have to carry them ourselves. Luckily there is a elevator/lift to the floors which makes it a bit easier. The hotel is not near any good food stalls, you have to travel quite a distance to get decent food. The only good thing is that it is near the major market where you can purchase fresh seafood and other products that you might want to take home as souvenirs. They are also near a supermarket which allows you to buy almost anything you need a reasonably cheap price. Room: Stuffy when we entered. It's like no one has stayed there for a long time. Turned the air conditioning unit on and it took hours before the room got to a nice temperature. The towels are rough and there is no soap, shampoo or other amenities you would normally find at even the cheapest hotel. The shower is ok with hot water. There is no floor mat so there will be wet floors if you walk out of the bath room wet. The window was not locked when we went in and there is a fire balcony and stairs in front of the window which poses a risk of your room being burglarise at any time. It is better to have a room without window as the view is nothing to shout about. Service: Very very poor. When we ask for soap, extra towels and etc ... the standard answer we don't have extra towels or soap. The reception does not do anything for you except to make sure you pay the deposit and process your checking in/out. Summary: Will never ever stay in this hotel again for my next trip to Tawau. Will NOT recommend anyone to stay here even if the prices are reasonable because the service and rooms are not up to standard. This place should not be called a hotel.
