Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Tell City

First off shout out to Nathan for being so helpful, informative, and kind! Dudes amazing. Any issue, he helped. Any problem, he fixed. He met us with a smile at each greeting and was so kind to my whole family including my dogs. Also, the kid that checked us in was great too! Can’t forget the cleaning lady during the day. Wish I remembered her name. With that said. The hotel could use a makeover. It’s a bit run down but not due to the employees. It’s an older hotel that needs a facelift. The owner needs to recognize this. They’d get more guests if they took the time to add value to their hotel. There are lots of people here who are slumming it and not following rules. Hanging out of the second story window to smoke or leaving garbage in the lot for the employees to pick up. It’s the crowd allowed in that’s the problem not the employees. If an employee is made aware of a problem they address it. Unfortunately we saw two different couples leave the hotel to go to another due to some of the disturbances. I don’t want to sound to negative because the people we ran into were all friendly. Some were just needing long term stay and treating the hotel as if it were there’s. Aside from all that. Our room and bathroom were very clean. The wear and tare was obvious but it was clean. We brought our dogs and everyone was so friendly with them. My youngest dog is a big saint and she takes some warming up to but everyone addressed her with kindness which helped her warm up on this trip. I do believe we will be back. Tell City is a hidden gem and the people here in and out of the hotel are so wonderful!
