When traveling to Great Cedon Park, I temporarily booked this hotel because I was looking for a hotel close to the east gate of Great Cedon Park. It takes less than ten minutes to drive from the east gate and is conveniently located on the side of the road. After checking in, the room was very warm, the hot water was excellent, the bathroom had floor heating, and small clothes could be washed and dried in the room. There is a hotel, supermarket and gas station next to the cabin. The price and facilities are complete and comparable to those of surrounding hotels. The price/performance ratio is very high and exceeds expectations.

My only negative comment on this place was the gentleman who checked us in Thursday seemed to be having a hard day. I felt I was inconvenience. He was working on a computer and didn't want to be interrupted. Everyone else there was excellent. The restaurants were nice. Some body straightened our room during the day. This never happens anymore. The place did seem expensive. You get what you pay for.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There are 2 restaurants on location and both served excellent food and had great service. Beautiful atmosphere and amenities were appropriate for the area and time of year.

My only criticism for the Hatchet Resort is about the hospitality. The person working the front desk during our check-in was so incredibly impolite and bad-mannered. He treated my sister and I with sarcasm and, instead of greeting us when we walked in, his first comment to us was “Is there any information you think you should tell me?” No hi. No greeting. Nothing. He continued to be curt with us throughout our checking in. Do better Hatchet Resort. We enjoyed the food at both restaurants and thought the serving staff was lovely, but the bad experience with the front desk tainted our experience and because of this, not only will my family and I never go back but we have advised a family friend against booking with Hatchet.

We loved The Hatchet Resort. All staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, cozy and made from the local forests. I loved the history book telling about the resort wildlife and surrounding area’s history. Also was located close to the Tetons and Yellowstone entrance.

Loved the view of the Tetons from the property. Very close to the national park. Also loved that a small part of our purchase supported protecting land. It's definitely a resort from another era, but we had no issues. We stayed in the bottom half of the Osprey House. We had upstairs neighbors, but sound was muffled enough that we barely noticed them. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The twin beds were not as comfortable. Loved having a kitchen, full fridge, and a living room area. Well worth the extra cost per night. We dined at the Whetstone for dinner one evening before they closed for the season. The service was amazing. Food was very good - nice variety of choices. Would stay again.

Not great. Lack of friendliness permitted the atmosphere, by both the owner and in the restaurant.

Staff not helpful Disappointed that there was no microwave at the reception area for customer use. The staff member sounded offended when asked about the availability if a microwave
