Mantra Koodam Kumbakonam-CGH Earth

On our way south we stopped here overnight. Very peaceful hotel in beautiful surroundings. Cottages are well spaced out around the vast grounds. There is a beautiful pool and afternoon tea at the little cafe, all complimentary! There is a little shop for souvenir shopping at reasonable prices. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. It’s worth noting there is no alcohol licence but you can bring your own and weirdly they sell beer! Food is freshly cooked And not expensive. Staff are excellent and very accommodating . I am guessing some guests stay just for a quiet break and you could certainly relax here if you had time. Highly recommended!

This is a truly beautiful and peaceful hotel, an excellent haven if you are exploring the bustling temple town of Kumbakonam and want to experience the Tamil Nadu countryside. The rooms are beautifully clean and furnished, the bathroom a joy to use and the staff go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable without being at all intrusive. The food was excellent, the Ayurvedic treatment exceptional, the pool clean and pleasant and we wish we had been able to stay for a few days. Hopefully we will be able to plan a return visit!

This is the most amazing resort! Beautiful, restful, serene, with exceptional amenities and services. The open air shower was lovely. By far, my favorite resort on a 2-week yoga retreat in southern India! From the moment you arrive, you are pampered and cared for. Highly recommend ***tra Koodam!

Stayed here in mid March with a group which included a toddler! This is must stay experience. The property itself is beautiful and serene. The staff are very attentive and genuinely caring. Breakfast options were vast. Their Al A Carte lunch menu was excellent. Food was healthy and fresh. I will definitely be back.

This is a country hotel so transport is needed. It consists of ***y different sized bungalows spread over the estate. There is a vaguely hospital feel and there are treatments to be had. We spent just one night breaking our journey. The roads are so bad here probably 25mph is about as good as it gets. Our bungalow was HUGE with an inside/outside bathroom. Quite comfortable and a very good bed. We had afternoon tea at the little tearoom which was all from the estate and complimentary. A nice touch. There is a large pool and a little shop. We had dinner at the restaurant. No alcohol here which we knew. So seeing a crowd at the next table quaffing red wine was a shock! We were told they had brought it themselves! And they do sell beer? Confused? Food was good though and very helpful staff. Breakfast was fresh and large choice. Our only problem was the mosquitoes at night. I had hoped the beautiful peacocks might have feasted but they seemed to prefer us!

The place smells like heaven! Absolutely gorgeous ambiance and service! People are so friendly and the spa and pool are brilliant 🤩 The morning nature walk was nice with kaushik and we learnt about local birds. 🦅 This was complimentary! Freshly made Tea and snacks at the hut while watching peacocks 🦚 was an absolute highlight! Bathroom has outdoor and indoor feel so feel so be prepared for little insects 🦟 geckos 🦎 and chipmunks 🐿️ to enjoy the space with you while you shower! 🚿 The massage ladies Suryalaxmi and Precilla were also very good! So was the service at the restaurant.

Really wonderful amazing experience ever !!! When entered in the resort ; the green around the road and entry at the reception just ***tra mughdha us !! Reception staff and the AGM Ms Treesa welcome us in such a traditional way !! Thank you treesa !! Rooms are quite peaceful ***** with toilets with ancient concept of open space in toilet !! Restaurant staffs attend us every moment. Food wad tasty with Tamil taste.. Fish feed ; divas and both the temples are the best among all... Over all great wonderful experience I will definitely visit again With more days flexibility. Thank you ***tra koodam !!

We had a fantastic two night stay at ***tra Koodam. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and have their own porches with chairs and a table for outdoor relaxation. The indoor/outdoor shower was beautiful with very nice natural products. The grounds are beautiful and filled with tropical foliage and ***y birds. We found the dining staff very professional and friendly. I was interested in local dishes and received excellent recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed my meals. Afternoon tea is nice with delicious snacks…best masala chai of the trip the spa staff were lovely and provided good service. We would love to return here one day!

In my Trip Adviser report About this luxury resort named ***tra koodam of CGH Earth, Kumbakonam in South of India dated 30th March 2022 ,I had provided a complete details of this excellent luxury resort in kumbakonam , which has become a sort of per***ent stay for me by choice ,when I ever I visit kumbakonam. There are so ***y hundreds of ancient, majestic , huge temples in and around Kumbakonam and nearby Thanjavur , that it may take a lifetime for one to visit and soak in all history art and culture of these in totality. But I am sure ***tra koodam will be around to pamper your tired body with great food ,very Comfortable cottages yo stay ensconced in abundant green trees , well laid out walkways and ever green lawns . Swimming pool, Ayurveda massage centre ,games and activity rooms compliment their other creature comforts . One will have for company not just international and national travellers for company but even ***y species of birds including peacocks through the day . The courteous service extended by each and every members of this resort is to be experienced to believe . Courtesy with a smile and at its best is how I would describe . Ms Teresa Augustine AGM ably assists GM Satish to run this resort with a clock work precision with a strong committment to ensure every guest is comfortable while Sr Chef M***thavanan ensures great comfort food is delivered to each and every customer's satisfaction . This review may appear patronizing but trust me this place is getting better and better each time I visit that really gives me so much comfort, joy and happiness in being just spending time here in this quite beautiful ambience. I suggest one and all should try this resort sooner than later and see for themselves. You will never be disappointed.
