In the city center, it is very convenient to eat and shop. But very noisy and crowded. The rooms are not soundproof either.

Cannot beat the view or overall convenience of the Waikoloa Village. I just wish I had more time to stay but I definitely plan to return in the near future. Would highly recommend!

$100 extra per night for resort fee and parking. Pools were ice water cold. Lagoon is lovely. Long walk from parking lot to room or wait for a very slow tram. Extra charges for everything. $30 to rent a microwave that should already be in the room. Cockroach in our luggage and a used bandaid in the bathroom. I’m being gracious with the 3 star rating.

At first we had an ocean front room. Beautiful view but the hydrolics on the huge door were broken so it would slam shut and was difficult to open. Popcorn ceilings,tiny bathroom with poor design made getting past the toilet to the shower or door very tight,comfortable bed, the handle on the sink broke off. Room in need of Renovations. We needed to say an extra day due to the airport closing because of a hole in the runway. They locked us out of the room and made us change rooms to a lower level and not ocean front for the one day but they did get us in the room with no waiting. Remember to choose Ocean Front which apparently is very different from Ocean View

Our stay was fine. This is a HUGE property so get ready to walk A LOT. They are in the middle of renovating rooms but only a small number are done. Very few chairs at the pools and lagoon (although plenty of space for them). Overall, it was fine but nothing great.

Our kids really enjoyed the pool and the poolside bar makes a good Mai tai. We were in the Ocean tower so very far away from the main pool area. Trams were very slow/infrequent so we did a LOT of walking, including a 20+ minute hike just to get to our car. Hotel appeared to be clean, but we found a cockroach in the bathroom one night.

We decided to stay for 1 night before flying out from Kona. Having a 2 yr old it was worth it just to ride the tram and play in the water.

Highly enjoyed our stay on the resort. Was surprised when we arrived to see and hear about how large the resort is- 65 acres with 4 hotels many swimming pool options, water slides, even a lagoon with a man made beach where you can do some snorkeling to see turtles, fish, etc. the resort also has Dolphins on the premises which you can view at any time. Downside is that if you are staying in the ocean tower - parking is very far, but they do have a tram and boat service to get you back to the hotel but just have to work around their schedule. Great walk though!! Rooms are older but kept in good condition. Would definitely consider staying again in the future.
