Real friendly staff. Hotel is bit run down and worn but location is awesome and it’s very family friendly with nice big pool . We would stay here again.

I booked here at the last minute because I couldn’t get a room in one of the more ‘high end’ hotels.
Yes it’s old, yes it’s quite run down. It was clean though and the location was great. It also has a really beautiful pool. I spent the previous night in one of those high end motels and hated it - the bed at El Lago was so much more comfortable and the AC was freezing cold (which I wanted).
Overall I’d say if you aren’t fussy on the looks it’s worth staying there.

We planned a short overnight trip away, where we were met by a friendly, polite staff member on arrival. The room had a rather pungent aroma that meant we had to keep the door open constantly overnight. The neighbour was smoking **** in his room, which made it difficult to ventilate the room without another pungent smell wafting in. The usual power points for the microwave were not working which explained why the microwave was positioned within the bathroom area. Needles to say we didn't use the microwave, that was in plane view of the toilet - a metre or so away. Will definitely do our homework a bit better next time before booking again. This was definitely an experience we will never forget. We had a good laugh and got on our way very early the next morning.

Great location but when it comes to cleanliness its all rule, sofa was filt, fridge all rusted. Could have cleaned a bit the room well. We even found a syringe in the sofa

The accommodation was just ok. Overnight stay. Older facility, rooms need a lots of work & TLC. The check in experience was extremely poor. No one at Reception & there was a few customers waiting to check in. After waiting for a while & a few phone calls that got no answer. A resident came & told us to hell loud as the person would be at the back of the office & yes there he was (maybe sleeping) no apologies given.
The surrounding area has deteriorated in the last few years. The area was not inviting but the views of the lake across the road are beautiful. Such a shame, so much potential.

Really dirty room and really run down. There was no light in the bathroom .The cold water in shower didn't work, reported it, first manager ignored it, after several complaints it was barely repaired, we missed our dinner reservation. There was a kettle but no crockery or cutlery in the room to make tea or coffee, I request it, was given dirty cups & plates with dried food scraps on it. The bedside table had dead bugs on it and dirty yoghurt cups were still in the room from previous guests. The hotel was like a slum , really dirty, everything was broken and we felt unsafe. We slept on top of the beds on top of blankets as they were rock hard and we woke up sore and itchy. The games room was being used as a junk dumping ground, the whole place was disgusting. Unfortunately I paid a lot to stay there. Don't waste your money.

The most run down place I have stayed at in a very long time, the “renovation” was deffinatly done with products and labor from wish
The shower leaked water all over the floor
I could not stand to take my shoes off the carpet felt filth I’m glad I was only there one night
