The room service also took about 25 minutes longer as expected & the “fresh” pineapple juice was definitely NOT fresh! - it was from a bottle & not as in the description. The watermelon juice was fresh & OK. The breakfast selection was also very limited this time - I ate something outside after this breakfast…

Disappointing. 1. Was greeted poorly upon arrival by front desk staff who not only spoke close to no English but had terrible attitudes. 2. We were initially ignored when we said we wanted to check in and were only attended to, albeit rather rudely, when we repeated ourselves. 3. It totally spoiled our first impression of The St. Regis as we expected at the very least, basic courtesy at check in from an establishment which brands itself as a ”luxury hotel” 4. The front desk staff's command of English was so poor that they told us check out time was at 8pm, only corrected after we clarified. The staff was also unable to confirm if payment was made, and we had to type it out on our phones to verify that payment will be deducted from a deposit. 5. None of the other usual information (eg. Wifi details, pool/gym opening hours was relayed to us). 6. Poor cleanliness at some areas: Additionally, plates at breakfast were dirty (brown liquid stains on them) and there was litter in the elevators. 7. Management really ought to invest in training the staff better. 8. On our part, we really would not recommend visitors to Tianjin to stay at The St. Regis. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

I have expected a lot from this hotel but unfortunately I got disappointed here: Fist of all the check-in process needed about 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly and said I should take a seat first - only problem: there are just a few seats in the lobby. Many people had to stay and wait => the process was very slow which was very annoying to me and to other guests. This is the first five star hotel where I did not enter the gym. Reason: Very small gym and not much equipment. The gym and the pool are in the basement floor => the pool is very small too and the whole feeling in a basement floor is not convenient for me - I was here dissatisfied as well. The room was clean - as expected. The breakfast was disappointment too: the selection is good BUT the rice was hard, the pancakes inside still wet, the waffles too hard, baked stuff no taste at all. I went to another restaurant nearby fafterwards => the PRICE VALUE RATIO is NOT GOOD for the Ritz Hotel in Tianjin - I will not come back again. But I gave it a chance & the staff is really friendly...

I am a fan of IHG hotels. Stay there for a night and when I got my room there is a slight hiccups where the room wasn’t turned over from the previous guest BUT thank you for the fast assistance from the front desk team who managed to move me immediately and apologetic about the situation (which very appreciated) it was a sweet gesture and their professionalism top notch. Bed were confortable but aircon slightly warm perhaps due to winter-ish season that the ac had only heather programed. Breakfast was delicious. As i have some diet restrictions. The F&B team were accomodating. Honestly, my short stay was feeling super warm. Everyone there knows how to serve their customers well. Will defo comeback. Thank you!!!

Check-in was quite easy considering the times that we are now living in. The room was quite big, with a nice view. Although, it would have been nice if there was a floor length mirror in the actual room, instead of hidden in a wardrobe — but that’s just a minor problem. The food at breakfast was quite bad, and a lot of the food under heat lamps was cold. Some of the foods were badly translated: “lemon water” was labelled as “lemon squash”. In saying that, the staff were very friendly and some did speak English.

I originally booked a superior king bed room, but later changed to an executive king bed due to some problems, and then changed back to a superior king bed. All in all, the hotel room size is okay, but the design is great and has a high-end temperament. The view from the room on the 5th floor is very good, and the sunset is beautiful. The bedding is very comfortable, with both soft pillows and hard memory pillows arranged to meet the needs of different people. The transportation is convenient, very close to the subway station, very close to Tiannan University, and it is very convenient to travel by bus and subway. Although the hot and cold water problem reported in the service was not repaired in time, it was generally responsive to all requests. Changing rooms was also very convenient and did not waste the customer's time. Therefore, I believe the problem is temporary. I hope the hotel will pay attention to it and improve it. This hotel is amazing. New, clean, staff are super nice. Coffee machine at the lobby. Standard room was already super spacious and nice but they upgraded me to their loft because of a confusion in reservation, and it was fantastic. The breakfast quality is high, with both western and Chinese local selections. They provide free beverages in the room as well as water and welcome drinks upon arrival. Highly recommend!!!

This hotel is in a GREAT location for tourists (near heaps of great restaurants and bars - scenic area and Heping Road shopping) or business travellers (I was attending a conference at the Meijiang conference centre) and has really lovely big modern rooms. The downsides - there is only 1 lift for all 10 floors (which are dispersed throughout 24 floors) of the hotel so the wait for the lift can be frustrating, also the reception staff struggled with the fact I had made 2 separate bookings (to separate work from personal travel) for the same room even though it was carefully explained in Chinese and a note should have been recorded against the room - instead it meant my room wasn’t serviced properly on my last full day and also my room keycard was deactivated. The irritations aside, this is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel and I would stay here again as the rooms really are so nice.

There are eight beds in a room in the Youth Hostel. The front desk will intimately tell you that there is a box under the bed. There are slippers in the box. At the same time, you also need to put your shoes in the box to avoid smell diffusion. The form is very good, but not all roommates will consciously abide by it. 3. The toilet and bathroom are in one piece, and they are two grids (separated for men and women). The washing machine is the kind that needs to scan the code to pay for washing. It can be washed quickly for 3 yuan. It would be best if there is a dryer. Tianjin is not like Beijing to dry, and the clothes are not dried at the door for two days. 4. The Youth Hostel has not organized activities, everyone is holding the least money for the journey, and just have a bed. Unless the social cow, you don't have to expect to have social in the Youth Hostel. 5. There is no bullshit rule that no youth traveler over 35 years old can stay. 6.
