Hotels near Maijishan Cave-Temple Complex, Tianshui

I brought my kids to Tianshui and booked this hotel because of the 2-meter bed. First, let's talk about the location. It's a bit far from popular attractions like the ancient city and Fuxi Temple. There's an uphill slope from the main road to the hotel, which isn't ideal for those who don't like walking. Across the road, there's a downhill path leading to residential areas where there's a morning market, which is much better than tourist-heavy streets like Yusheng Lane. The hotel service was excellent. There was an aroma diffuser outside our room that sprayed every once in a while, and the scent was very strong. After I reported it to the staff, they unplugged the machine for us, as we couldn't stay in the room otherwise. I also suggested they change the scent, as it was too sweet, cloying, and overpowering. The facilities are quite comprehensive. Although the gym isn't big, it's sufficient, and the equipment is all new. The availability of towels, water, coffee, and tea was a big plus. It's worth mentioning that the breakfast on the first day was good, but not so much on the second. I ordered wontons first and then went to get other dishes. When I went to pick up the wontons, they said they were out and gave me noodles instead. There was one fried egg left, and one side was burnt. When I asked the chef to fry another one, he said the machine was broken... I'm not sure if it was really broken or if he just didn't want to turn it on for one egg. Breakfast was advertised until 10 AM, but the yogurt was gone by 9 AM.

The hotel is right by the pedestrian street and the district government, truly in the city center. Hu's Residence is just a 500-meter walk away. It's great value for money if you're traveling in the off-season. **Facilities:** Well-equipped. **Cleanliness:** Spotless. **Service:** When we checked in, the elevator kept stopping on the renovation floor. The front desk lady was very helpful and quickly coordinated to make it easier for us to move our luggage. **Environment:** The soundproofing could be improved, as hallway noises are quite noticeable.

The hotel is in a convenient location and is well-furnished and my room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is very satisfactory. The front desk staff were helpful and polite; special thanks to Xiao Wang and Xiao Xie who very patiently helped me with my laundry and with getting the bus to Maiji Shan. 😊

The hotel is in a great location, with a similar distance to the city center and Maiji Mountain, making travel very convenient! The room is clean and the shower water is huge! The front desk service attitude is also good, it is worth recommending!

This is a REALLY nice hotel. Unfortunately, although it is practically right next to one of the city's two train stations, the location is far from ideal. Yes, there are many restaurants close by. But Tianshui is an oddly laid out city. Look on a map and you will see two distinct parts to the city. This hotel, along with the two train stations and the airport are in the eastern city. But all the most interesting city attractions are within the west part. And the two parts are very far from each other. Again, this is a nice, quiet, comfortable hotel. And I often try to stay at hotels near transportation centers such as train stations. The view from my room was fabulous- mountains and a train station. But for anyone visiting Tianshui, I'd suggest you look closely at a map and take a close look at the sites within the city you are likely to visit! (To add to within-town transportation challenges, not even a single time was I able to get a ride using the normally useful ”Didi” application. This meant that it was a constant ”old school” process of trying to flag down available taxis. Anyway, again I will emphasize, the hotel is great. It is the layout of the city itself that presents challenges that make this location difficult.

My boyfriend took me to Tianshui this time, and we chose this hotel, which is located in the old city. The hotel is decorated in a new Chinese style, the environment and hygiene are excellent, and the service is very enthusiastic. The beautiful ladies in the front hall will upgrade the room type. The whole house is smart, the bedding is comfortable, and the pillows are suitable for sleeping. I recommend it to my friends. I booked a breakfast without breakfast, and bought one separately. It was not expensive, and it was clean. The rice noodles were very good. I will choose to stay here next time! ! ! The main parking is free and convenient, not far from the Fuxi Temple and the scenic spots in Tianshui City!

After visiting Xianrenya, I headed to this hotel. The room was a bit small; we couldn't open both suitcases at the same time 😂. However, the cleanliness was quite good, and there was no smoky smell 👍. Laundry facilities were convenient, too. Breakfast offered a good variety, with steamed buns, twisted rolls, porridge, eggs, and both cold and hot dishes 😊. After breakfast, we went to Fuxi Temple and Yuquan Temple 😝.

Read lots of reviews about this hotel before booking it for a night. I'll still give it a 5-star review because it is so convenient for independent travellers like us. The railway station as well as the local public buses station/stops are just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bathroom shower has strong flow of water. It's near to the famous Malatang eateries, too, just less than 5 minutes walk away. The rooms are not sound proof and we can hear the next door guests talking. Since it was already 12.30 midnight, we couldn't get to sleep due to the non-stop talking in the next room, we decided to seek help from the counter staff to give us a quiet room. She was so kind and moved us to another room on the same floor in the middle of the night. Kudos to this kind lady.

The room was excellent, clean and tidy, and the price was reasonable. The front desk responded promptly to any issues, and the service was very attentive.
