Was in town for a funeral. We have stayed here many times prior. As always the front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. I arrived at about 1pm. Asked if my room was ready and was totally prepared for them to say no and to return later. The front desk clerk went upstairs to speak with housekeeping. Upon return I was informed that my ”newly renovated room was clean and ready to go”. I should say that this hotel is clearly being renovated. I get that. Hotels need to be renovated. I was actually kind of excited to see what they had done. Love the new color scheme. The carpet in the hallway is very stylish. However, that is as far as this renovation has gotten. By newly renovated they mean they put in new carpet and had an amateur come in to paint. I have a 12 year old niece that could have done a better job on the painting. Now on to housekeeping. Mind you, the front desk clerk specifically asked house keeping about my room and was told it was clean and ready for a new guest. I am posting photos with this review. We had a double queen suite with a sofa bed. When we got to the room it was clear there was no mattress on the sofa bed as the cushions were sunk down in the sofa. Housekeeping came by and installed the mattress. It looked clean but there was no mattress cover or bedding of any kind on it. I found the linens for the sofa bed in the closet. The blanket was filthy. Not just dirty but filthy. The pillowcase clearly had not been changed. There was make up and what appeared to be juice on it. The sheets had blood on them in more than one spot. Someone had actually taken the linens off the bed and instead of sending them to laundry they simply folded them neatly and put them in the closet for the next guest. I took them down to the front desk and she could not apologize enough. I got clean linen and a new blanket. The blanket had a huge tear in the corner. This newly renovated room had a toilet seat that slid when you sat on it. The furniture looked like it had not been wiped down in a year. It was all nicked and battered. The light switches were dirty and there was a coating of dust on everything. I was truly disappointed. My pet peeve is dirty hotel bathrooms. the sink and toilet were clean but the tub was stained and there was an orange film in it. The wall of the shower had something one it and someone had picked their nose and wiped it on the wall next to the toilet. This hotel cleaning staff is clearly in need of a lesson in ”guest ready” room. There was popcorn on the floor and the bathroom floor was dirty. Not sure if I will stay again. One last thing---I get why hotels have bright lights on the outside of the buildings. I don't get why they have such a hard time hanging drapes that close all the way. It is very difficult to sleep with a crack of bright light coming through the window. For goodness sake how hard is it to use one blackout panel that runs the entire width of the window!!! This was one of the worst hotels we have stayed at. Upon checking in, we were told that the elevator was broken down and we had to use the stairs to get to the 3rd floor. The stairwell smelled of urine on the first floor. The stairwell carpeting was filthy. Our room had a coffee maker with no coffee available. We were unsure of the bed linens being fresh with all their wrinkles. The bathroom towel bars had some kind of dried goo-like substance . The window was smeared and streaky. The ironing board was broken (which I fixed in order to use). The tub plug was laying in the bottom of the tub. Everything was disgusting. All in all, this is NOT WYNDHAM QUALITY.

This is a very nice, perfectly located hotel. It’s not a LUXURIOUS hotel. The Guest service folks were all very helpful and super friendly. My only two grievances are that the hot tub wasn’t operational, not really that big of a deal, and that the in hotel bar was not open. Ever. We were visiting family that stayed in the same hotel and that is part of the reason for staying there. We thought it would be nice to not have to venture out after the end of the day, and have a couple drinks. This wasn’t a huge deal either, except I think it should be noted somewhere under the amenities that the in-house bar is closed at this time. The breakfast services was wonderful. The food and service! It’s our 2nd stay with this particular Hilton Garden Inn.

This is my go to basic hotel. Very reasonably priced. No pool so there are no screaming kids running up and down the halls. Super comfy beds and a nice variety of pillows. Sadly this nice little hotel is starting to show some wear and tear. Scuff marks on the walls. At some point the showers were resurfaced and now that surface is peeling. The corners behind the bathroom door need a serious cleaning. It needs a refresh. The drawer in the credenza would not stay shut. Also this was the first time that I had a problem finding someone at the front desk. When I checked in there was a sign stating I should go around the corner to the laundry room. When checking out the woman that was in the breakfast room came over to print me my bill. I checked in at 2pm which is early. Stated check in is 3pm. The front desk was concerned that there wasn't a room ready at 2pm. I find it hard to believe that every room in this hotel was dirty one hour before check in time. One positive note---this was the first time I have eaten the breakfast. It was quite tasty. Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs. They also offer a variety of muffins and pastries, cereal and of course waffles. I have another stay booked for August. I am hoping they take care of some of the upkeep issues.
