Japamala Resort by Samadhi - Adults Only
4.6/549 Reviews
Japamala is a good place to hide. A total of 15 rooms, except for the first room we stayed in on the first night, are basically on the mountain and need to walk up the mountain. There are two kinds of meals in the hotel, Italian and Thai. The breakfast buffet is very rich. The hotel is clean and quiet overall, and the general service staff is very polite. Talk about this very bad experience: First, the traffic is not convenient. I said that the traffic is inconvenient, not to go to other places on the island. We found this hotel, just to avoid the noisy, quiet rest, I said the traffic is inconvenient, it is the hotel's feelings in the shuttle service. The hotel is 2 hours by boat from Mersing to Merting. The fee is RM70/person. After arriving at Merting, the hotel will use its own boat to connect the guests to the hotel. The flight takes only 5 minutes, but it also costs RM32/person. The hotel greets the guests who came from the original road, and it’s just that the fees are so high and the feeling is very bad. Second, the hotel check-out service is very unhuman. Our return ticket was 12 noon. It only took 5 minutes, but we asked us to pick up the barge and leave the hotel at 11 o'clock. I told the hotel that it was too early to leave the store at 11 o'clock, but the hotel insisted that we leave at 11 o'clock. It took 5 minutes to get to the dock by the barge ship. We had no place to stay from 11:5. Even if the big ship is coming, this hour, we have no place to sit, no place to stay, there are no good cafes and rest places on the pier, and some of our guests who have retired from the room, like the tramp on the hot bay The tramp is guarding a lot of luggage. One of the guests is a pregnant woman. The round-trip passenger ship was monopolized by Bluewater. As a result, we took the boat back to Mersing on that day. It was more than 2 hours late and arrived at 2 o'clock. Several European and American guests who checked out with us also waited on the dock like them. More than an hour, and no one told us why it was late and when the big ship will come. I said that it is not human enough, including the following two points: 1. The hotel will send the guest away 1 hour in advance. There is a sense of service at this price. Even if the hotel needs to be hygienic, we can rest in the hotel beach or lobby, even if we leave 15 minutes in advance, I It is acceptable, we all know that it only takes 5 minutes, but we ask to leave one hour earlier. 2, the hotel can help the guests to confirm the boat information, if the boat is late, you can let the guests rest in the hotel beach or lobby, so that guests can get on board in the hottest weather with the shortest waiting time. 3. Hotel pricing is confusing. We plan to stay at the hotel for two nights, but there is only one room available on Ctrip for the first night. We found the second night's room on the hotel's official website. The two nights were different room types, and the difference was very large, so we thought that the room for the second night would be much better than the first night. Although we need to change rooms after a night, I am still looking forward to experiencing different room types. As a result, room 1 on Ctrip on the first night was not only much larger than the room 11 booked on the official website on the second night, but also had large open floor windows, private yards, and an independent hot spring pool. The price was actually cheaper than 300; originally thought that the conditions for the second night of the 11th room would be better, the result is that the room is small and dark, only the small window on the side, no hot springs, no yard, and mountain climbing. I really don't know how the hotel made the price. Third, the hotel basically has no network. Of course, we are here to fully relax and rest, but it is inevitable that there will be some arrangements or a small part of the work that requires internet. The hotel only has a slight signal in the lobby. The photos of the room I put on are the photos of the first room in the first night. I regret that I only stayed for one night.
Berjaya Tioman Resort

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Berjaya Tioman Resort, and I must say it was a memorable experience. Located on the beautiful Tioman Island in Malaysia, this resort offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, comfortable accommodation, and excellent service. First and foremost, the location of Berjaya Tioman Resort is breathtaking. Surrounded by lush greenery and pristine beaches, the resort provides a tranquil and serene atmosphere. The crystal-clear waters of the South China Sea, coupled with the vibrant marine life, make it a paradise for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. The resort also offers various water sports activities, ensuring there's never a dull moment. The rooms at the resort are spacious, well-appointed, and tastefully decorated. I stayed in a chalet that was nestled amidst the tropical rainforest, offering a private and peaceful retreat. The amenities provided were top-notch, including a comfortable bed, a private balcony, and modern bathroom facilities. However, it's worth noting that some of the rooms could benefit from minor renovations to maintain a more modern look. The staff at Berjaya Tioman Resort were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. From the moment I checked in to the day of departure, the staff members were courteous and made sure my needs were met. The housekeeping team did an excellent job of keeping the room clean and tidy throughout my stay. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The resort offers a variety of dining options, ranging from local Malaysian cuisine to international dishes. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of both Western and Asian choices, ensuring there was something for everyone. The seafood served at the beachfront restaurant was particularly fresh and delicious, and the beach BBQ nights were a delightful experience. However, it's important to note that the resort could improve in terms of maintenance and upkeep. Some areas of the property showed signs of wear and tear, such as faded paint or broken tiles. While this did not significantly impact my overall experience, it's an aspect that management should pay attention to. In conclusion, Berjaya Tioman Resort is a tropical haven that offers a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The stunning location, comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, and delightful dining experiences make it a highly recommended choice for those seeking a relaxing beach vacation. With a few improvements in maintenance, this resort has the potential to become an even more exceptional destination.
Tioman Dive Resort
4.3/59 Reviews
Our stay at Tioman Dive Resort was definitely an excellent choice for our diving trip with B&J dive center. We arranged this via email with Martin, who has been helpful assisting us with the arrangement of the dive package, which includes the accommodation as well. We stay at the triple room and the rooms are clean, well maintained and equipped with ac, tv, hot water, soap and even hair dryer. The location is about 5 mins walk from the ABC jetty and close to all dive center, their bar, beach and restaurants. There is no duty free here though but we manage to rent bicycles to go to the next village, about 10 mins away (nearest duty free is about 25 mins) while enjoying the wonderful scenery along the way and passing by the local bats colony of tioman. Ben, P’Gell and team really makes us feel like family and ensure we have a great time during our stay here. We love it so much to the extent that some of us decided to dive lesser and spent more time resting away in the room (their bed is really comfortable) or hanging out at the resort bar at night. Highly recommended whether you are diving trip or just enjoying a simple vacation with friends in tioman.
