Grand Hotel Duca d'Este

It’s a bit of hot when I registered, and I have tried to turn on the air conditioner, but it didn’t work. I called the reception desk saying the air conditioner can’t work, she said the temperature was not too high and suggested me open the window if I felt hot. And she still told me the air conditioner would work at night…actually, the air conditioner didn’t work at night also. Meanwhile, the WiFi is terrible in my room. It can’t connect with internet although it looked like have been connected. And it’s funny that the WiFi run well when I was out of my room.

Welcoming structure, staff are attentive and helpful to customer needs. Old rooms of 90’s, however renovated, very quiet and clean, but still to improve. No kettle, no wipes, no slippers, no shaving mirrors. Excellent dinner and the Breakfast. Excellent possibility of free outdoor parking. Good location. Easily accessible by public transport also. I stayed for three nights at this hotel along with group package tour.

Terrible service 3 star hotel at best. Breakfast was inedible. Even though it was included in the room, we couldn’t use it. Location is bad. Nothing close by. Was told pool opened at 10, but at 10.30 they were still cleaning it and we were told we couldn’t use it. Receptionists told us just to get in - poolcleaner told us no. We gave up. Room was at first glance nice - but when you actually looked it was old, moldy and not clean.

Nice hotel, lovely staff, terrible WiFi! Generally OK, but WiFi in rooms was terrible - very poor to non-existent. Also, no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.

An hotel built in the 90s which needs a serious renovation plan. Rooms are very old. A bad smell is present in the room all the time. Breakfast is fine. Restaurant is below average. SPA service is not free, they charge extra. Staff is nice and very helpful.

Ok hotel but could be better In Italy and flew into Rome on a late flight and this was the closest hotel for my final destination. To be honest, I wouldn’t come back here again 😔 WiFi in the bedrooms doesn’t work. You also have to pay a tax to stay in this hotel which wasn’t included in the bill.
