TOBA GRAND HOTEL

Great location, beautiful views, and delicious, varied food. We happened to stay here on the day Typhoon No. 6 hit Mie, and the hotel provided safety warnings, which was reassuring.

The hotel boasts a superb environment, complete with a large public bath and private paid onsen facilities. In the evenings, they offer a buffet dinner featuring many local specialties. Breakfast is also buffet-style with a wide variety of options.

The staff were so bright and friendly, and their service was wonderful! Thank you so much! The dinner buffet was absolutely satisfying!

I would have liked a welcome beer.

Although it's newly renovated and clean, the air freshener sprayed in the hallway was so strong it was toxic. I had to cover my nose every time I walked through. The buffet offered a variety of dishes to enjoy. There was plenty of seafood, but the quality was rather low. The cakes tasted very much like frozen cakes, and I wish there were more varieties of fruit. The staff who spoke excellent Japanese were very friendly and pleasant! The guy at the front desk needs to try harder. The amenities were plentiful, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the welcome tea.
