The hotel exceeded my expectations. I'm usually not one to write reviews unless an experience is exceptionally bad or incredibly good, in which case I feel compelled to express my gratitude. I booked my room quite late, and the Richmond I usually stay at in Tokyo had become ridiculously expensive. Luckily, I caught a Trip.com 919 promotion and booked a 4-night stay.
Normally, I wouldn't choose an Ibis Styles in my home country, but this Tokyo Ibis Styles is even better than the Mercure hotels under the Accor brand. My experience at the Mercure in Kyoto was frankly abysmal; I'll be sure to review just how terrible the Mercure Kyoto Station hotel is later.
Service: The check-in was handled by a Chinese gentleman, and both he and the other front desk staff provided excellent service. On our last night, my child coughed and vomited in their sleep, dirtying the pillow, sheets, and duvet cover. I went down in the middle of the night to ask for help changing the duvet cover, and the front desk staff immediately moved us to a new room. I'm so incredibly grateful! They helped me change the bedding in the middle of the night and then moved us to a different room – I truly appreciate it.
Cleanliness: It was very clean, bright, and spotless, even impressing my germaphobic Virgo tendencies.
Transportation: Very convenient, with several subway stations nearby, making it easy to access different lines.
I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo.
