The aparthotel was a little far from main tourist area as it requires a local train (1 stop) from JR line to reach - but the neighbourhood was quite and peaceful, which we really liked a lot. The walls were very thin though - I could hear the occupants of the next room snoring loudly at night throughout my stay. Toilet was also very small, so it was quite a tight squeeze. There were not enough space to hang the laundry to dry too if you’re washing your clothes during the trip. Check-in was not the best as I did not receive any information from the hotel regarding the room that I had booked until I reached the hotel and contacted the owner through trip and subsequently, WeChat (owner explained that there was a communication access breakdown between trip and their access on trip portal)

Pretty good the train station just 5 min walk but the train take a long time to arrive

Owner failed to send check-in info the day before as promised, which caused stress and uncertainty. No one answered calls or emails. Suggest the owner find a space or free lockers to allow luggage storage because that is industry practice, or at least allow travelers to put bags into the room while it is being cleaned. The location is quite far (20 min walk) from the main Ikebukuro Station and it is a burden to deal with luggage. No TV in the room. Walls are very thin and can hear everyone talking. No coffee/tea or any amenities. Mailbox lock operation instructions were incorrect. No elevator and the stairs were wet and slippery from the outside rain. Decently clean and WiFi worked.
