hotel MONday Akihabara Asakusabashi

Very convenient from NRT via Skyliner and change at Aoto - cross platform to take Metro Osaige line stay on train to Asakusabashi. exit 4A and 4 mins walk to hotel. It is quieter than Shinjuku but lots of shops, restaurants here, so we like it here. Metro pass takes you everywhere, close by Ueno park, Skytree etc. Staff is polite and buffet breakfast is great!

Best bathroom of all so far. Really loved how it was layered. The room was still a little squeezy with the third bed added but it was acceptable.

They had good tea, and the free water from eco cleaning was a nice touch too. The location is also really nice! The biggest issue, however, was their very unusual standard when it comes to throwing things away 🤨 The bottle we wanted to keep was cleaned and placed neatly on the table, separated from the ones meant to be disposed of. But somehow, the cleaner took away the bottle we wanted to keep and left behind all the ones we intended to throw away… which was honestly a bit questionable.

This is the first time I stayed in MONday hotel in Asakusabashi and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by the coffee bean roaster shop just next door. As a coffee lover, leaving the hotel to the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans is simply wonderful. In the hotel, the room is slightly bigger than rooms in Asakusabashi area and there are lots of eateries around the hotel. If you are missing Nonya Nasi Lemak, you can take a walk to Malay Kampung Kopitiam opposite Bakurocho station. I had a Nasi Lemak, followed by a prata and a white coffee for my brunch!

Hotel located in a non touristy area. Very Convenient with many subway exits nearby, eateries, conbinis and few mini markets around too. Hotel staff are courteous. Free amenities self service in the lobby and water filter, coin laundry  available too.  We survived a very small room with good Aircond and toilet. Sound proofing is good too.  Downside is room abit cramp for 3 of us where we can’t even open a large suitcase. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant.
