If you’re looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Asakusa, Hotel Tavinos is a solid choice. The rooms are compact but the location makes up for it. Lawson is next door, Don Quijote and ROX Mall are within walking distance, and there are lots of food options nearby. It’s also close to the Asakusa Sumo Club, so it’s convenient if you’re planning to watch a sumo show. You can easily explore Asakusa on foot, while Tokyo Station is about 30 minutes away and Shibuya is around an hour by train.
The hotel has a nice lounge on the second floor where many guests hang out in the evenings. Coffee, pastries, and self-serve miso soup are available in the morning. Toiletries are picked up beside the front desk, and there’s a laundry room with a vending machine. Washing costs ¥400 and drying is ¥100 every 15 minutes, so expect to spend around ¥800 if you need a full load. The free luggage storage was also convenient before heading to the airport.
