THE GATE HOTEL RYOGOKU by HULIC

The front desk staff were very welcoming. The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the sumo stadium. It's also very convenient for getting to Akihabara, just two stops away.

The room was quite spacious for Japan. It's about a 6-7 minute walk from Ryogoku Station, and there are many restaurants, drugstores, convenience stores, and a supermarket near the station, which is very convenient. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic, thorough, and attentive. Since we arrived before check-in, they helped store our luggage, and by the time we returned to the hotel, they had already delivered our bags to the room. The room faced the Sumida River, offering a nice view. It had a private toilet, shower, and sink. The only downside was that the dust was quite visible under the hotel lighting. The view from the top floor of the hotel is great, and you can see the Tokyo Skytree (*^_^*)

The hotel is very close to Ryogoku Station, just a few minutes' walk, which makes getting around super convenient. For dining, you can head to Ryogoku Station; there's a whole street with restaurants, drugstores, and 100-yen shops, giving it a real local feel. The hotel itself is quite new, and the rooms are spacious for Tokyo standards. There are a few Chinese staff members on our floor, which made communication very smooth. Each floor also has a vending machine and an ice machine, a really nice touch! Our room included breakfast; you order one set and then can grab other items buffet-style. After four consecutive days of Japanese food, I absolutely loved having a Western breakfast option!

Clean and tidy, with warm service and a convenient location right by a two-country subway station. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, as well as a sumo museum and a sword museum. It's a great choice, and there's even a pier for boat rides.
