ART HOTEL Nippori Lungwood

This was my second stay, and I opted for the comfortable double room. It was quite spacious, featuring two beds and a long sofa. If you have small children, it feels like it could comfortably accommodate three people (just be sure to specify the number of guests when booking). Right across the railway bridge from the hotel, heading towards Yanaka (from the JR station's South Exit), you'll find Yanaka Cemetery, a historic site where Tokugawa Yoshinobu, the last Shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate, is buried. The surrounding area has a strong 'old Tokyo' vibe. You can take a pleasant walk along that path for about 20-30 minutes to reach Ueno Park, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of old Edo firsthand.

This hotel is a real find! It's just a two-minute walk from Nippori Station. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious, especially for the price. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

The basic room definitely hasn't been renovated, it's very old and seems like a business hotel from the last century. Soundproofing isn't great. However, it's cleaned fairly regularly, but the hidden corners are quite dirty, like the toilet and fridge. Service is pretty good, and the three elevators with three doors are quick. The location is also decent. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, just across the intersection, and they even have skincare samples. But for a basic room, the price is a bit high. I'd recommend prioritizing a newer room type or a different new hotel when booking.

Honestly, this hotel far exceeded my expectations. With three beds, each of our family of three had our own space, ensuring a great night's sleep after a long day of walking around. The room itself was quite spacious, which made the bathroom feel a little cramped by comparison. The view from the window was really open and the night view was great too. Breakfast was just okay, but everyone's attitude was excellent! Plus, it's only a three-minute walk from Nippori Station, with tons of restaurants and convenience stores. If you're looking for nightlife, there are plenty of options too, haha~ (The soundproofing isn't the best, so hopefully, you won't encounter any noisy groups partying late into the night.)
