Shibuya Granbell Hotel

I recently stayed at Granbell Hotel Shibuya. One of the biggest positives of this hotel is the room size. The room was surprisingly spacious, especially considering the location in Shibuya. The location itself is also very convenient and makes it easy to explore the area. The staff were very accommodating, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. When I raised an issue about the hair dryer in my room, they responded quickly and provided a clean replacement. However, there were some cleanliness concerns. The carpet in the room appeared to have visible stains and dirt, and the hair dryer provided in my room was extremely dusty to the point that it was uncomfortable to use. This was disappointing, as cleanliness is an important factor for many guests. The hotel provides small bottles of body soap, shampoo, and conditioner, which was a nice touch. Overall, if you prioritize a great location and a spacious room, Granbell Hotel Shibuya may be a good choice. However, if you are particularly sensitive to dust, dirt, and cleanliness issues, you may find the condition of the room disappointing.

Very convenient location (~3 min walk to the Narita Express train) but probably would do better with more upkeep and maintenance. Some of the interior looks a little dated. Service was good

Good location and very close to JR station. Less crowdy than the other parts of Shibuya. Recommended.

Nice location to Shibuya to wheel suitcase to NEX. Quiet, efficient hotel. Good size room for a single traveler.

Everything was great in terms of services, the only thing they didn’t have is a laundry room. So I ended up using their suggested laundry service. No reason to do that, it is just extra expensive. Find a laundry laundromat nearby and do it yourself.

I always stay here whenever I am in Shibuya because its price and location wise is the most worth it around Shibuya area. Room is small but has everything you need. However one thing that stayed the same over the years is the hot/cold water shower system, hope the management can look to change it as it takes a long time for hot water to come out and when it does it becomes scalding hot. No complaints due to the excellent service standards (staff speak very good English) and its stone throw proximity to the New South Exit of JR Shibuya.

The location is excellent. The room is quite small, which is typical for Japan, but it is clean and comfortable. It’s a good choice for solo travelers, though it may feel a bit cramped for two people with large luggage.
