We had a very enjoyable stay at Tokyu Stay Aoyama Premier, and the location was one of the biggest highlights for us.
We personally love the Omotesando area, so the hotel’s location was perfect. Gaienmae Station is just about a 2-minute walk away, while Omotesando Station is around a 10-minute walk. And if you like to walk, it takes 20-30 minutes to walk to the iconic Shibuya crossing/scramble. There are also plenty of convenience stores and drugstores nearby, making it very easy to get whatever you need. As Muslims, we also appreciated having a few halal food options within the surrounding area.
One of the best features of the hotel was the in-room washer/dryer, along with a stove and microwave. These facilities were extremely convenient, especially during a longer stay in Tokyo. The hotel also offers great high-floor city views. During our stay, the Meiji Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival happened to coincide with our visit, and we were lucky enough to have a clear view of the fireworks from our room — definitely one of the highlights of the trip!
Check-in was smooth, although we had to wait until 3 PM for our room. We simply left our luggage with the hotel and went out to explore Tokyo. When we returned, our bags had already been delivered to our room, which was a nice touch.
The room is compact by most standards, but that wasn't really an issue for us as we spent most of our days out exploring Tokyo. The layout was practical and the facilities more than made up for the limited space.
There are a couple of areas that could be improved. The furnishings feel somewhat dated and could use a refresh. The elevators can also be quite slow, particularly in the mornings when they tend to be very busy and full.
Overall, we would happily stay here again. The excellent location, practical in-room facilities, convenient access to public transport, and great views make Tokyu Stay Aoyama Premier a very good choice for travellers who want to explore Tokyo while staying in the Aoyama/Omotesando area.
