Landmark Lookout Lodge

We enjoyed the hotel and grounds, saw some deer Tuesday morning. They come to the area right outside front lobby and are fed bread slices and apples. Great to be able to see this.

The view from the hotel room was amazing. The hotel is quiet, with very little traffic going by in front. We had friendly deer at our door. Breakfast was good.

We reserved 2 rooms but the first room smelled like raw sewage. So I asked the attended to give me another room. When I woke up in the morning I found cockroaches in the room. Not just one but many. I killed 1 and saw a few tiny ones in the tub. I made sure that I shook out all of my clothes and bags to avoid bringing any home. I would not go to this place if I were you.

We rented two rooms and they were both cockroach infested, Beware!!! Also, there were a lot of exposed wires and outlets that seemed extremely unsafe, including where the smoke detector/fire alarm was taken out.

Geat place to stay when visiting Tombstone. Excelllent customer service, a very friendly place to stay and a great breakfast.

This lodge has great mountain & sunrise views. Downsides are uncomfortable mattress, no plug for tub, no microwave in the room. Breakfast was good w/eggs & sausage.

Such a nice and unique property but the barely functional shower kind of gave a bad impression of the hotel.

Me and my 14 yo daughter booked reservations and within 5 min of being there a cockroach came out of the drawer with the Bible. I’m from AZ so I know they are everywhere but the problem is the drawer was also full of broke off bug legs, evidence they don’t really clean the rooms except superficially. There were even more bug droppings/legs in the drawer with the phone book. The worst part is that we checked in about 2:15 and reported the problem to the front desk and apparently another group was leaving because of bed bugs. The mgr said they “just had the hotel sprayed for bugs 2 days before so all of the bugs are coming out.” I asked the mgr for a different room of which there were none and asked for the room to be cleaned. We went into town to see if there were any other rooms and through a round about way found a clean room in a Boarding house. It was smaller but felt and appeared clean and had great mgt. I went back to the hotel at 4:10pm and asked for a refund because of the bugs and we found another place. He said he could refund the 2nd day but not the first because it was after 4pm. So if I would have arrived a few minutes earlier he could have refunded it. Don’t stay here! My daughter pointed out how part of the outside roof was literally being held together with tape. I do not know how or why it has 4 stars on ******* but it is a 0 star, unless you are ok with dark, dingy and dirty rooms and poor customer service.

The first room we were given had roaches. I took pictures and showed front desk, we were given a second room with the same problem of roaches. I showed videos and photsp to the manager.
